The stories that are created here are unlike anything else you will find in Hollywood. This is not improv, this is improvised theatre, with technical improvisers manipulating the lights, sound, and score simultaneously with the actors on stage. It is mind blowing how talented these performers are, and amazing how much they can squeeze out of every scene, including moments of silence. Riveting! Treat yourself as soon as you can.

This was a wonderful performance in a quaint, intimate setting. The improv was seamless and entertaining. This is well worth a visit on a night out! This evening, there was a Q&A session afterwards. What a treat! These shows are suitable for a night out, as entertainment while visiting L.A., or just to treat yourself!

I've had the pleasure of seeing several shows here over the years and I'm always pleased. I know a few people who have taken classes at Impro and they found the experience worthwhile. One definite flaw is the severe lack of parking.

This is a great night out. The shows are rock solid and hilarious. The local bars are small and perfect for intimate chats with great drinks. Take a date. It's awesome.

Best story driven improv ever made. Every show is wonderful to watch. Every class is full of things to learn.

The teachers are very fun and challenge you in your improv and I learn a lot even by just watching others and listening in class! Plus their shows are amazing and cover so many genres and sub genres!!!

I've been studying improvisation for thirty years and I can say without hesitation that Impro is a very special place. First and foremost their main company ensemble is one of the top in the U.S. and likely the world. Their space work, use of language, playfulness to the point of palpable danger, and writer's mindset is as invigorating and refreshing as any good piece of theatre should be. Secondly, as an experienced improviser I was very pleased that I was able to audition into an appropriate level for me and I have to say I was blown away by the skill and talent of the other students there. I love how Impro teaches the improviser to think like a writer; not that they should script the scene, but that every bit of dialogue, movement, and space work should be performed with the idea that the playwright wrote it because it's important... it has meaning. Unlike many other improv schools I've been to they employ techniques that groundbreaking theatre makers use such as Viewpoints and the Circles Of Presence; no wonder they are more and more being regarded as a theatre company and not just an improv troupe!
