Actors Comedy Studio

This is the most thorough comedy class you can imagine! Gunnar sees comedy under a microscope, and he generously shares all his knowledge! I loved his class! He is a tough teacher: he does not beat around the bush, he goes straight to the point and gives you his honest assessment, to benefit you, so you can become the VERY BEST OF THE BEST!
He trains actors for the Olympics in comedy! And that's exactly what I was looking for, and feel infinitely grateful for this chance on my way up in my career.
Also: Gunnar knows everyone in Hollywood, the in's and out's of what, who, where, when... All the trends, past and current, all the details in what to do and say, when and why... It is just mind-boggling to see how this man can fit all this knowledge in one brain, and I was happy to learn every single bit of it!
Finally, I got this incredible confidence from being in his class. My doubts, my fears about not being enough, about not knowing how to be,--they all just dissipated, and the class left me wanting more and more of this confidence!
I seriously feel like I can reach the stars now! :)

Hands down the best acting studio in LA! The classes are excellent and affordable - a rare find in this city. Lauren and Todd are absolutely amazing and know how to work with their students to bring out each one's maximum potential. The energy in each class is unmatched at the other studios that I've been to, and the personalized communication and advice from the teachers shows me that they truly do care about my success and are not just out to make a quick buck. I love ACS and give it my highest recommendation.

Being a part of Actors Comedy Studio has been one of the best decisions I have made so far since moving to Los Angeles. They offer weekly classes that range from the beginner actor, to the professional actor. This is a safe, skill building place where you can learn everything from the audition technique and cold reading, to character development and script analysis. It is a fun time, and can be somewhat therapeutic and relaxing, but also challenging in a positive way that helps push you to become better and better at what you love doing, acting. I have taken weekly classes for almost a year, as well as many workshops and seminars, ranging from script analysis and improv classes, to casting director workshops. If you want to be good at something, then you need to put everything you have into it. Actors Comedy Studio will give you what you are looking for.

I've had my eye on ACS for some time now and I finally had a chance to begin classes in July...What a terrific decision on my part! I love this place! Todd has a way of teaching sitcom technique that is better than any other class I've attended in LA since 2008. After taking this class, I've watched my comedy audition technique and cold reading skills improve so much! I even got a few callbacks! Lauren is amazing because she gives fantastic tips on how to master the skill of cold reading and reading out loud in general. The instructors here are very passionate about comedy and the time they take with you to assure you become a master in the comedy craft is note worthy. They also keep you up to date with the latest trends in the industry, industry news and $20 casting director workshops with NO CATCH! I highly recommend you try the studio out for yourself.

It is hands down the best acting instruction I've received. I've been a student here since January. Todd was great at pin-pointing strengths and weaknesses and creating a nurturing environment. His knowledge of the business is phenomenal...he always on top of the latest news that effects the comedy actor. In this amount of time I've gotten an agent, made great contacts and my career is moving forward faster than ever.

The workshops are awesome, with talented guests and a great price. I highly recommend ACS if you're looking to improve as both an actor and person. He's that good.

Todd and everyone at ACS are an amazing team to work with! Not only is the studio well equipped and well organized, but I've never worked with a teacher who is as personally invested in the success of their students as Todd is. I came here 5 months ago with a theatre heavy background, and have made amazing strides at bringing my acting into a more nuanced, honest, and film-friendly place. As far as pricing goes, it really is rather cheep compared to most other legit acting classes out there - and I promise you'll get the most bang for your buck here!

After leaving education for the first time and entering the "real world" I am so thankful to have found Actors Comedy Studio. Todd is incredibly forthcoming with his industry knowledge and is really invested in his students' success. It is a wonderful experience to be able to perform every class, and get honest and constructive feedback. I love being in an environment where the other students are committed actors who take their work seriously. If you're interested in sitcom training this is the place to study!
