The museum is a great compliment to am already world class attraction. The sculptures, paintings, and tapestries are all originals preserved to share appreciation for culture and history of the Basilica. Buy an online ticket to the museum included with the ticket to the Basilica to save time in line. You'll likely spend an hour or two wandering through.

To be honest, better than the Duomo itself. It has an amazing collection of statues, all placed in a way that is easy to look at. I absolutely fell in love with the statues and the paintings.

Nice place with an impressive collection of statues. We purchased the joined ticket to Duomo Rooftop and this museum, so you can also save some money.
Highly recommend to walk around even for 30 minutes.

Very nice museum about Duomo di Milano.
We bought a combo Cathedral + Museum and did both of them within 1 hour and 30 minutes (45 minutes each)
It is located right next to the cathedral and I would recommend to buy the ticket in advance.

It opens at 9 AM, so you can do the cathedral at your pace during 40/50 minutes, do a short break and then do the museum.
Some people preferred to do it the other way around, but most museums opens at 9 or 10 AM in Milan, so you can check both activities and then do other later if you start with the Duomo at 8 AM

Here’s a museum you can find a lot of history and past art work and artifacts used in the early church. You sort of have to walk around quietly and not make noise or touch anything. It’s an interesting place. Respect.
