Hard to find as it's tucked away in a clearing about 100 metres from a footpath across private land. Most of the stone robbed out to make a house on the site plus use elsewhere. Good to see it now listed.

This is a small ruin hidden at the edge of woods near Weston under Penyard. The woods are in private property but to owners allows access to public to follow paths and tracks. It is not sign which path to use. But GPS will Home you in to right path. The castle is ruin with walls on 3 sides.

These are somewhat interesting ruins, but not like Goodrich Castle! They are not legally, publicly accessible; they are on private farmland and although not close to the public footpath that runs across the field to the N they can just be seen from there.
The closest point from which to view them is from the forestry track to the SE, though you have to watch carefully when the trees are in leaf. The navigational hint is to watch for a hairpin-bend in the main track from which an uphill track on the apex leads to the boundary nearest the ruins.
The walk is great - even if you never see the Castle. A further challenge is to identify the nearby disused mine on the downhill side of the forestry track.

Don't worry about the 1 star review from Elizabeth de la Pasture - I'm almost totally certain she lives on the farm the castle is located near to...
