Einfaches Denkmal von einem tollen Mann der Nachkriegszeit. Hier ist er richtig.

Konrad Adenauer ( 5 januari 1876 Keulen - 19 april 1967 Rhändorf - West Duitsland )
was de eerste kanselier van de Bondsrepubliek Duitsland ( West -
Duitsland ; 1949 - 1963 ) , die de wederopbouw na de Tweede Wereld-
oorlog voorzat.
Als christen democraat en vastberaden anticommunist steunde hij het Noord- Atlantische verdragsorgaan ( NAVO ) en werkte hij aan het verzoenen van Duitsland met zijn voormalige vijanden , vooral Frankrijk.

This monument stands in tribute to Konrad Adenauer, the first chancellor of the then West Germany and lead the country through the recovery after the Second World War.

This statue is about the worst monument imaginable to someone who did so much for this country. The depiction of Konrad Adenauer is depressing. The sculpture depicts an old an with his shoulders hunched up. The sculpture is virtually featureless save for the for and the long trench coat. Were this statue not so close to Neumarkt and all the shops and cafes, then it would be a total waster to see this.

Schlichtes Denkmal für den berühmten Sohn der Stadt. Würdigung Konrad Adenauers in seiner langjährigen Funktion als Kölner Oberbürgermeister (1917-1933 und kurz 1945), am Rande des zentralen Neumarkts, unmittelbar neben St. Aposteln gelegen. Könnte besser gepflegt werden.

Un bel ricordo del grande statista, vicino alla Basilica dei Santi Apostoli: il volto è serio e triste come se stesse meditando sul futuro di questa povera Europa
