Walsh Family Wine

The wine was great BUT, the atmosphere was more like a Chuck E. Cheese than a winery. There were children crying inside, so we went outside to a seating area and kids were running around our chairs playing with wood from a stack of wood behind us (great parenting). I know it isn't the wineries fault but we're not in any hurry to go back due to this. Maybe an adult only area? But like I said, the wine was great!

The wine is not great. I realize tastes are subjective.

Finally, I took a date to this place and they wouldn't drop talking about politics. And we're left leaning. It'd be nice to just taste some bad wine and overpriced cheese without getting preached at.

Looking for a great winery to do a white tasting or just enjoy a bottle of wine, look no further!

Walsh family winery offers tastings both inside and out. Both options are extremely comfortable and relaxing, surrounded by great decor, indoors and beautiful scenery outdoors.

We didn’t know which wine to choose from so we ordered a flight for different wines for our tasting.

I don’t usually drink white wine, but thoroughly enjoyed the sampling I did today!

On top of that, every employee we met seemed Happy, knowledgeable and helpful.

We also had the pleasure of meeting Kaitlyn Who went out of her way to make sure all of our questions were answered and that we enjoyed our experience. She’s featured in one of our pictures below!

Although she only has nine months work experience at this winery, if she didn’t tell us, we would never have known that. She enjoys her job and wants to make sure that everyone that visits enjoys this experience!

Such a great place with some of the best wine VA has to offer. Their Bethany Ridge Sauvignon Blanc is my favorite, but I can drink any of their wines pretty easily and I can’t say that about most places. Their charcuterie board is top notch as well with delicious cheeses and such good prosciutto. Just the whole vibe of this place is lovely…the outdoor space is dog friendly and equipped with solo stoves for the colder months.

I really can not say enough good things about Walsh. We came on a rainy dreary day and were so glad to find a winery that is so cozy and welcoming inside - not all wineries actually have good indoor seating. Every employee we interacted with was kind, informative, and enjoyable to interact with, they all seemed genuinely glad to be there. We came to spend the day and so we tried most of the food options, all were fantastic and went great with their wines, which are stellar. Come here, you will not be disappointed.

What a gorgeous winery and super hospitable staff! The indoor and outdoor spaces are lovely esp the fire pits with chairs. Kitchen menu is great and the wines were delightful. Something for everyone! Will def be back!

After 5 visits over the last 14 months or so, I am just as hooked now as I was the first visit!

The wine is superb. The food is excellent. Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable.

There are several indoor areas to gather; tables and chairs on a patio; picnic tables in the grassy areas; as well as fire pits.

The owner is often onsite and very friendly, personable, and just a nice person.

The wine club is a great deal and includes tours and educational opportunities during wine club pickups.

Overall: the hospitality here is absolutely wonderful. The atmosphere is perfect. The wine is amazing. Don’t pass this winery without visiting. You will be amazed!
