One should must stay for the ganga aarti. It's memorizing. The camera could not do the justice what you actually see and feel. Reach before 1 hour at ganga aarti sthal. And a humble request please do not litter.

ganga aarti sthal is a popular attraction in the holy city of haridwar, located in the northern state of uttarakhand in india. it is a place where the ganga aarti, a daily ritual that involves offering prayers and lamps to the river ganga, is performed every evening.

the ganga aarti sthal is located on the banks of the river ganga, near the famous har ki pauri ghat. the aarti is performed by a group of priests, who offer prayers and hymns to the river ganga, while waving lamps and incense sticks in a synchronized manner.

the ganga aarti sthal holds immense religious significance for the hindu community. the river ganga is considered a sacred river in hinduism, and it is believed that taking a dip in the river can wash away one's sins and provide spiritual purification. the ganga aarti is performed to show gratitude and devotion to the river, and to seek blessings from the divine.

the aarti is a visually stunning spectacle, with the priests dressed in traditional attire, holding large lamps and moving them in a choreographed manner. the entire ghat is illuminated with the light of the lamps, creating a mesmerizing effect. the aarti is accompanied by devotional music and chanting, which adds to the spiritual ambiance.

apart from its religious importance, the ganga aarti sthal is also a popular tourist attraction, with thousands of visitors flocking to witness the aarti every day. the aarti is performed twice a day, in the morning and evening, with the evening aarti being the more popular one.

in conclusion, the ganga aarti sthal is a place of great religious and cultural significance, attracting visitors from all over the world. the aarti is a beautiful and soul-stirring experience that leaves a lasting impression on those who witness it.

We visited just before Diwali and the area was relatively
Less crowded . Be hereby 430-5 pm and take a seat on the stairs . People collect money for everything here by technically everything is free .. so beware of giving money, even the “Tika” people are money minded . Just enjoy the bliss, the atmosphere, the Aarti and come back :-) the Aarti during winters is at 6pm and lasts for ten mins only . There are plenty of places to keep your footwear and changing rooms.

Ganga Aarti gives goosebumps. So peaceful that is our sanatan proud of our culture 🙏🏻 Aarti timing near about 6-7 pm in the evening but you should go there before 1-2 hours to get closer look. Too much crowd but there is no kind of problem as the area is too large u can take Aarti blessings easily. Don’t rush to sit on stairs. So just relaxed and feel the energy.....There are no words to describe the crowd's feelings and their desperation to witness the holy moment.
After aarti you can explore local market and don't forget to eat kachori and other dishes from Mohan ji puri wale...
