Cafe Aviva

We were with friends on the prowl for lunch!! We googled food and up came Cafe Aviva Southport..
The food was everything we would have wished for!
Fresh, hot, delicious.. my full breakfast, my hubby’s eggs on toast, my friend order a made to order cheese and salad roll.. and her hubby’s tuna sandwich and egg and salad roll to go.. was fresh fresh fresh, tasty and plentiful .. I had hot chocolate on soy and they had chocolate milkshakes they were still raving about and saying how lovely they were in the car as we drove away..
Worth the tricky parking !!

Friendly service and very well priced food. Where else can you get a large yummy chicken BLT burger, thick cut chips and a coffee for $14.90 these days? Convenient if you have medical appointments but also worth getting off the tram for!

open early 7 am. good for anyone has medical appointments.

I very seldom post a negative review but I feel everyone needs to read this.
The staffed seemed LOVELY.
BUT the spinach and feta filo .. was DISGUSTING. The Pastry smooth, pale and pasty - not pastry like at all.. The Spinach was sloppy, no texture and no taste. The Feta .. what feta ?? - I couldn't see it and definitely couldn't taste it - and feta tastes salty.
I would like to think this is the exception. ROOM FOR A LOT OF IMPROVEMENT.

Was working nearby for the week and the guys at Aviva made me coffee before they even opened every single day and also made me an amazing breakfast when I went back later each time also.

Great work team! Keep it up.

There was an instant where there was a fish bone in a fillet that got stuck in a person's throat. This was not anyone's fault. The person I was with didn't want to eat the fish so the management refunded the money and made another meal at no coast. Management was very apologetic and accommodating. My friend said the food was good before that happen. My food was great and very reasonably priced and the coffee is great too. I have no problem recommending this place as the staff are awesome too.
