Overpeck Dog Park

Good size but be warned that there is no water access

First time and last time. The park is beautiful and thought the dog park was just as nice. Unfortunately it's just a gated in gravel area that doesn't have much for a dog to do other than walk or run.

There are two areas to separate small and large dogs. Mostly had a good time but someone brought their aggressive and clearly too large dog into the small dog area and harassed mine. This might have been ok except the owner did not remove the dog until it harassed my dog three separate times when I tried to put her back down. Not the parks' fault and a risk at any dog park but some owners just are not responsible enough. There was a cute little fake fire hydrant, a couple benches and a dog bag dispenser on the large dog area which could be reached from the small dog area over the fence.

Great dog park for socialization and running your pets.
There are large and small dog enclosures.
The ground is level with compacted dirt and a few obstacles for the dogs to run around.

The park does get very busy at peak times so plan your visits accordingly.

Located in the South West corner of the Old Overpeck Park

I brought my two littles ones today and I absolutely love how big the park is.

Nice place to bring your dogs, they have separate big dog and small dog play areas. Path leading to the entrance can get boggy when wet

Nice park with great people but be VERY careful in the large dog area! There is another gate on the left side which opens up with a slight push. My dog slid right out yesterday when he saw someone walking to the small dog area. The fence really needs to be fixed!
