We booked a room for 11:30am on a Saturday. When we put it into Google Maps, it said Enigma didn't open until 12 but I had the confirmation so we just went anyways. We arrived at 11:20 and rang the doorbell as instructed in the confirmation email and nobody answered. We tried ringing the doorbell and calling several times before 11:30. I finally left a message (on the Castle of Chaos voice-mail- which isn't indicated anywhere on their website) at 11:38. We stayed until 11:48 until we finally decided to cut our losses. At no point have we been contacted by anyone at Enigma Escape Games.

I have failed a lot of good escape rooms, but never have I been given wrong clues and had a host not know their own room. They could not explain the puzzles before we left. I hope improvements are made to make the experience better for future customers.

I was blown away by the thought and detail that went into this experience. We went with eight people, which was almost too many people, but we had an absolute blast. The puzzles are hard, and we are good at puzzles, so come ready to think hard. We didn’t make it through but we were so close I am itching to go back and give it another go

We just finished Hyde at Enigma. Sadly, it was probably the worst escape room experience I’ve ever had doing over 30 escape rooms previously. The production value was good. However there was a broken puzzle in the room with a magnet maze. The magnet got flipped over and so we couldn’t attract the magnet to get the key. The host told us that the plexiglass had been popped out for the start of the puzzle but they hadn’t fixed it. She blamed us and said we must have flipped over the magnet. There is no way we could flip over a flat heavy duty magnet on that set up. We wasted a good amount of time trying to just “feel the attraction” of the magnet. I honestly think the magnet was not placed the right direction to start. Just due to the poor customer service I would not go back nor recommend. I would hope if a host is hearing how we couldn’t feel the magnet or knew it was broken, they would respond and help. I also would have hoped they might have reconciled the situation or provided a refund. Wasted our money on a broken escape room 😕

The room was cool and all and we enjoyed our time, but it was literally impossible for us to finish. The employee herself, after, said that one of the drawers, where a key was, was broken. Someone had actually broken it. This is very frustrating to hear, after spending good money on this, to hear you would never have been successful. We otherwise were doing so well.
