As an architect and interior designer for almost 50 years you might take my criticism as valid. The art on the glass at the front of the building the art is fine but the green color and the yellow color over dominate everything and they make the art look trivial. The green should be changed not so bright and the yellow should be changed not so bright and the overall artwork would look much better.

Stunning place! I attended a super cool exhibition and the entrance was free. There’s also a cute bar with great food and kind staff, definitely recommended!

Beautiful building designed by Steven Knoll. Always great stack of artists on all 3 floors and amazing curators who host and bring amazing talent to the auditorium. Free admission. Richmond is blessed to have you. Oh super nice staff too

Pretty standard contemporary art museum for a college, but there is nothing special here. There are only four exhibits which is a little disappointing, but there are a few positives. There is FREE coffee, it is really open and modern, the staff is friendly, and it’s free. I wouldn’t recommend going out of your way to see this place or to drive more than 20 minutes, but if you live in the city, it’s worth checking off. Probably wouldn’t go back because of how small it is, but it wasn’t terrible. There were a few cool art pieces though. Clean bathrooms as well.
Note: The elevator is SO SLOW, but it’s a really neat one! I would 100% suggest using it.

Great building architecturally. Exhibitions were on point as well. Gift shop had an amazing collection of publications that are hard to come by outside of nyc. (Shot-out to Precog mag)

Very beautiful building. The exhibits are interesting to look at, but there is not a lot here. I'd say your visit can definitely be about 30 minutes.

Beautiful architecture. I like seeing new museums in Richmond that showcase modern pieces of art from around the world. Considering it’s absolutely free, it’s worth a trip. My family and I scratched our heads a lot throughout the Hedges, Ledges, Edges exhibit... was this artwork too conceptual for us? It felt sparse but I get that that’s probably what they were after.
