They make you golf with Randoms if you don't have 4. I hate that. Decent course but not paying 55 to play with people I don't know.

Nice course, but we teed off behind a group of 32, playing an outing with Shotgun start, mind you seniors, God bless them for still playing, but the pace was soooo SLOW, waited on every shot, even after a par 3, there were still 3 groups on the hole, needless to say, NOT enjoyable, at the turn we asked for a simple Raincheck for the back 9 as we wanted to play again, but was told "there is no rain coming so wait or loose your money " as we said fine, keep our money! There was a young man waiting by clubhouse, he told us they were waiting 40 minutes just to get a cart. Bad course management, way overbooked!! Do yourself a favor and drive 5 more minutes to play Zoar Golf, better course and fantastic staff!!!

Wilkshire is a beautiful course, nice pro shop and club house. Staff are always friendly and the course is very well maintained.

We wanted to play a quick 9 late in the day on a Saturday. There was no one on the course and it was barely after 5 PM. The guy in the clubhouse seemed bothered that we showed up unannounced and told us the course was closed. I'm shocked these people would turn down green fees so early in the season. It's a shame this course is so close to our house because we are never going back.

Go to Zoar or Spring Valley. Your money is welcome there and the staff is friendly at both locations.

The course was in excellent condition except for a couple holes on the back (which they are trying to reseed). Enjoyed playing. The only problem was the gold tees were not at the correct yardages.

Disappointing Experience at Wilkshire Golf Club

I recently had the unfortunate experience of visiting Wilkshire Golf Club and left feeling incredibly frustrated. Firstly, I want to give a special shoutout to the clubhouse attendant, who was "remarkably busy" in an entirely empty pro shop, ensuring that our group received minimal attention. The level of service was puzzling, to say the least.

After a significant wait, during which we observed another player being allowed to play nine holes without a prior tee time, we were incredulously denied the opportunity to play. This was despite GolfNow indicating there were plenty of available tee times. Additionally, when the availability of a tee time was pointed out, the seemingly senile clubhouse attendant became combative thrusting his computer screen in my direction whilst yelling “do you want to see my schedule?!?!”. The lack of organization and poor customer service left a lot to be desired.

It's disheartening to see such potential wasted by mismanagement and poor decision-making. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Wilkshire Hills Golf Club based on this experience. It certainly was a lesson in patience and a reminder that not all clubs are as welcoming as they appear.

Great, old school golf course. Heavily tree lined, well manicured. The Par 5’s are not too long, but play very challenging. Staff members friendly. Worth the 30-40 minute. Nice, country setting. Greens were in very good shape and rolled true throughout the round.

Also, a nice Brewery right alongside the course.
