After 20 years of enjoying walking my dogs at this park, I am sad to say it is no longer a good experience. The city allows tenters in the park who, as they move around the park, leave refuse behind that spoils the natural areas and creates safety hazards for people and their dogs.
One of these "campers", set up on the path in the off-leash area, told me to take my dog and get out of the park.

Fox glove, very dangerous for dogs proliferates along thei off-leash pathways and more garbage surrounds the lake, left there when the water recedes after a rain.

There is not adequate dog park signage along the road indicating on and off-leash areas so people entering the dog park are unaware that they have, This causes problems between dog owners and joggers/bikers and others who are not comfortable around dogs. I have witessed several altercations.

The park is nice-ish overall. The playground side is beautiful but if you venture on the path around the water there is LOTS of garbage around the edge. I wouldn’t even let my dog walk on it in fear she might step on something bio hazardous due to the vagrant issues at the park and the road garbage that the wind carries down there. I would advise everyone, adults/children/pets to be extra cautious where you’re stepping.

Fun place, very clean, although there is no public cr, the parking lot is big enough.

Great place to unwind, lots of dog walkers, different areas to enjoy, and 2 playgrounds, one of which is inclusive, and wheelchair accessible. Trail around the storm lake, and little paths also. Treed areas, sunny areas, gardens with benches, and lots of birds. 2nd parking lot on the east side great for dog walkers.

Sadly, as a storm drain, the water is filthy and smells. All the litter ends up here.

We’re lucky that this park was just close to home. Such a nice place with interesting trails, bench for seating, and a park for kids to play. Ever so often you’d see geese and other different types of birds taking a dip. Not to mention also that it’s an off-leash park, so get ready to meet furry pals along the way.

I like to take my dog here and walk around the park. It’s a good place to walk your dog. They have some playgrounds to take your kids as well. I find it fairly clean. They have muskrats though.

Big beautiful park! Lots of attractions for kids, and beautiful frozen lake. Great parking lot with a big amount of space. Washrooms only seasonal unfortunately. You should check it out if you have small kids!
