Went there for Remembrance Day Ceremonies. They hold the ceremonies outside and then the museum opens for everyone to go inside. Admission is free that day (donations are appreciated) and it provides an opportunity for everyone to explore the museum. Expect to spend a few hours there if you're reading and watching the mini video clips. Very educational and always learn something new. Didn't make it through all the exhibits but they are so well done. It was an experience and every year we go, we always take the opportunity to walk through the museum, especially to check out the new exhibit on display at that time. With a retired military veteran along with me during the tour definitely gave a very different perspective on how things were. Very lucky to have the freedoms we have today and remember to not take it for granted. Lest we forget.
Simply a treasure right in the middle of Calgary. Credit to all the curators, the museum(s) are magnificent with a tremendous collection of artifacts and a glimpse into the proud military legacy of Canada. Many stories of dedication to duty like Mike Mountain Horse. This old US Marine was really impressed
It's not an affordable park, but it's very nice (you need to be physically prepared, as there are many hours of walking). But the trip was very worth it. But I loved being in the century before last.
It was a really nice experience. It doesn’t take too long to see it and you can go in with almost no wait if you buy the tickets in advance from the website. The views are great and there’s a short video on the construction and modifications that give a little history to the tower.
One of must places to visit in Calgary. You can see the whole Calgary city and learn about the history of Calgary tower too with the TVs put up. You can buy tickets at the counter. It wasn’t busy. I think depends on the time period you go. There is a souvenir shop on at the ground floor. Washrooms were clean but all were not functioning.
I think now it is under renovation however it is still open to the public . One of the most beautiful places in Calgary. I would recommend visiting the place in the evening to enjoy the vibe of Calgary city. The bridge is decorated with lights which is giving a mind blowing scene in the dark . No entry fees and easily accessible from Calgary city. Good place to spend time with friends, Family and Kids.
This is a must see spot in Calgary. It has fantastic views of the city. There are signs that post to important landmarks in the city that can guide your experience in Calgary. There is a short film that you can watch that gives the history of the tower. The tickets are $21 and it is absolutely worth it for the view alone.
This was my #1 want-to-see in Calgary. It didn’t disappoint. I’m glad we went at night when it’s lit up. It added a magical quality and made the experience come alive a bit more. So cool.
I have been here so many times and the staff are great. There was a medicine of war special area set up. A doctor who was volunteering offered us a tour which was fantastic. Really enjoyed it. Then in the hangers the guys were really nice. There were two pilots and an engineer. They were friendly told us so much and even allowed us to sit in the starfighter. What a place there is so much to see and it's a hidden gem in Calgary.
This is very cool to see at night and there was a steady stream of arrivals checking it out. Nice to see a big ambitious piece of public art in the downtown area! Highly recommend.
Calgary tower is one of the places that not only residents but visitors should visit. On our last visit we scheduled a family dinner and it was certainly delicious in terms of the excellent quality of the food, as well as the beautiful view of the entire city, as the restaurant rotates 360 degrees. I highly recommend it.
We visited during a weekday at the end of the season, when it was closed. This means we missed out on some of the immersion into history. Special arranges had been made for our group of 20 from Arizona! Thank you! The Guide was fantastic! She was enthusiastic, well versed in all of the details. This is a great place for imagining history!
This park is one of my favourite places in Calgary. Rich in history. The only problem I have is that one of the staff members wasn’t pleasant but the other great staff members and the experience far outweigh the negatives. I’d definitely recommend coming here!
Very cool piece of architecture! Was under construction during our visit,but was still fun to cross with great views of the city and Bow River below.

We went for a friend's wedding photos and they turned out beautifully. The atmosphere was very welcoming and the park is exceptionally maintained. There were all sorts of groups present, but no one was in each other's way looking for a "good spot" because the entire place is a great spot! Haha will definitely be back
I hate heights but this tower was done so well that you don't notice the elevation in the elevator. At the top you can stand back and read the signs, and match the landmarks without feeling like you are teetering on vulnerability of falling - to a degree. Don't get me wrong - I was glad to be down to earth, but this is the highest place I've been able to visit, walk around comfortably and enjoy my time up there. The views are amazing.
The video and informational signs detail the history of building it from laying the foundation to adding the pinnacle at the top. It is very interesting and a source of pride for Calgary.

Piece bridge and princes island are a beautiful area. I visited to occupy my time while visiting from the states. I walked the parkway along the river and was welcomed by the beautiful scenery and squirrels. I'd definitely go back. It's a good place to decompress and enjoy a beautiful sunset.
Could easily spend half a day here! Many exhibits tell the long history of all Canadian military branches. Attendants are very knowledgeable and friendly. A must see!
Most of the park was closed by the time I arrived so I explored the lake and walked the trail to see if I could catch a good sunset which never came 🙃 I drove 6.5 hours the day before so needed a more low key day. The next time I am in the area, I definitely want to check it out when it's open. It looks like a pretty cool spot. There was clear bottom kayaks out in the water from a tour company also.
Pedestrian Bridge with an interesting construction. At night nicely illuminated. To get a good view of the bridge climb up the wooden stairs to the Crescent heights.
It’s an interesting art piece. The interesting part is that you can walk inside to have a different view. Personally it’s not very amazing for me because this art with the shape of a face/ head doesn’t really match the buildings nearby. But it still sorths to go for a look. It’s free anyway.
After a long walk there, I found that the bridge was currently under refurbishment (Aug 2023). So it’s not beautiful at all. You may find railings on two side which blocks the scenery. You can still read the history and details of structure on the plates. They are explained in details. A lot of people at weekend. Many of them played electrical sccoters and bikes there.
It's interesting, and cool to photograph. Just not my favorite art piece. They are just so many in this city. But the framing by the building is pretty ingenious.
Iconic Bridge over Bow River. They are doing some renovations on it currently but it's still popular for commuters and locals. I also love all the flowers on the south side of the river. So inviting. Definitely a nice place to explore, or even get into the river as many did!

Air Force Museum of Alberta is a part of the Military Museum of Albera and features presentation of the Canadian Air force, from the early days to the current era.
It's an incredible place not to be missed on your visit to Calgary. The area has been kept like it jade been in the early 20th century and certain things have been added to raise the atmosphere of that period.
You can easily spend the future day in the village as the place is huge. There is a train going around the village that you should not miss. Also, the half-hour horse ride where you will get to know the details of the place from the guide is very interesting.
Make sure that you go here on a sunny day as you will be walking a lot outside.

An art installation exactly in downtown Calgary which definitely attracts your attention when you spot it goe yhd first time. It's a gisnts head, to which you can enter and view it from a different angle. It's one of the most photographed places in Calgary.
This was my first time visiting and I wasn't exactly sure what to expect. It was amazing! If you love history and want to be submersed in the past, this is the place for you. Completely family friendly. Be prepared to come back as there's no way to see even a fraction of everything.

This place is huge- it could easily fill an entire day with everything from automobile collections, pioneer life, and coal mining as well as a really well done old-fashioned midway. I enjoyed the fact everything was included in the admission. We also ate at a really nice restaurant there- the food was perfect. And if you want to ride the train, a tractor pulled cart or horse pulled carriage you are in luck!

Extremely cool sculpture in front of an impressive building. Tourist definitely should walk by when exploring the city. At night it would probably be even more impressive.
Cool looking structure from the outside. However, at the time of our visit, the interior was under construction, so it was a bit of an eye sore. Definitely worth a stop to walk around and wander a bit soaking in the nice views around.
This place is absolutely stunning 😍 and is located right at the banks of the bow river.
I always like to come here after a long day and just take a walk and unwind. The flowing water always seems to have a calming effect on me. It really doesn't get better than this.

My son and i had a great time here. The glass floor is one of the best parts of the whole thing. I would definitely recommend eating in Sky 360 as well. The restaurant slowly turns while you eat. One revolution per hour. Such amazing views from all angles.

Absolutely amazing museum! It was strange not to see crowd here. Exhibition is fantastic. Recommended for visiting with kids.
Just a beautiful place to go for a walk and enjoy the sunshine. Always a lively spot for dog walking and people watching. No amenities so be prepared.
The museum was very impressive. Unfortunately also a bit depressing. Thanks to Dave, who welcomed us at the entrance and explained a lot in advance. This has greatly simplified the visit to the museum. It is very special and also somewhat exciting to see how the individual areas of the Canadian military have had an influence on the various wars. Very moving also the individual areas where the fallen are commemorated.
I went early on Father's Day with my dad, and we had a wonderful time. The staff are all incredibly friendly. In the Cold War hanger, there were veterans who showed us around and explained different things about the aircrafts. It was very educational and fascinating.

Baker park is a beautiful area to sit and relax or have a picnic. It is also a space selected for momentous events like grad and wedding photos.
There's also a really nice frisbee golf course located here that is well sheltered from the wind by the lines of trees planted along the perimeter.

Our tour guide, Adelaide, has either just started this job, or has done it for too long -- I couldn't actually tell. I'm sure she's a perfectly pleasant person, but as a tour guide, she was, in my humble opinion, lacking. She spoke to us like a grade 4 class. It was all very over-rehearsed, and felt very much like she'd memorized a script. She mispronounced a number of names/places -- and -- the part that annoyed me to no end was that she would say "up ahead on the right" and it would be on the left, or vice versa.
Well worth the visit.

Really excellent. The Cold War aircraft exhibits are mind-blowing. Tim, the guide on the day, was originally a Voodoo and F18 pilot and a veritable mine of information and help. Thanks so so much Tim.

Great place for the family and kids. Amazing museum to look at and see Canadian history. Not busy and lots of staff ready to help you and tell you things. The only thing is that there is no restaurants nearby but other than that a great museum. We love this place.

Great museum. Nice collection of tanks, armoured vehicles, aircrafts. Amazing ship models. A lot of history of the wars and missions around the globe. Reach collection of uniforms. I spent there around 4.5 hours, one hour outside. There is a place to eat and a small souvenir shop. Museum has a good discount for students. Visiting this museum also gives a discount for the Hangar Museum
Great place with honours memory of Canadian military service. Very nice work of all generation volunteers. You should plan time for viewing more than 3 hours. One of great place for learning history.

Excellent way to see all the sights of Calgary. Staff were really helpful and made the tour interesting. Communication about the tour details and meeting spot was first rate. Would recommend.
A must see point close to the center of the city. Ctrain stop is beside (this is next stop after City hall station when you go within free ride range of downtown). Great to see both in the day time and in the evening.

Great park to spend time outdoors in any season. This park is famous for the disc golf. The river makes it beautiful.
We had gone by here both in the day and night. Come at night!! There is an open place to park right in the front if you want to take quick pictures which we did…definitely Jaume is a must see when you are downtown even if you are just driving by!
Great place to feel and touch some real fighters. These war relics were well maintained and no rust or crack on skin (except that cf-100 Canuck sitting outside). They also have many fancy miniature donations. Just wondering why there isn't a cf-5 freedom fighter which portrayed a generation's collective memory with the movie Top Gun.
It was an ideal place to learn about the history of the Canadian military. The displayed tanks and fighter planes were impressive, and I was overwhelmed by their size and grandeur. There were many interesting exhibits that showcased the evolution of military technology across various eras. The exhibits were accompanied by detailed explanations, allowing me to gain a deep understanding of their historical background and roles. Inside the museum, I was able to learn about the brave acts of Canadian military heroes and their courageous actions, which left a profound impression on me regarding their bravery and spirit of service. Overall, the Military Museum in Calgary offers a rich and comprehensive experience, making it a must-visit place for those interested in history and military affairs.
We are so fortunate to have these bike pathways in Calgary along the Bow River. Incredible beauty everywhere.
I went to Baker’s Park for a work function where we played disc golf and had a catered lunch. This was the first time I had been and overall, I am impressed.
The park was perfectly manicured, clean, and there was ample parking. The park was so huge, there was plenty of room for everything the 50 people in attendance wanted to do.

This was a fantastic exhibit!
Everything was very well laid out, and the displays were more than convincing. Walking through the cold war nuclear strike bunker entrance display was just like putting on a VR headset.
The F-18 that was on display was awesome!

The Calgary Tower is one of the most iconic and historic buildings of downtown Calgary. It has a revolving restaurant and an an observation deck on top. We did not try the restaurant as reservation is required. The views are expansive and amazing! Walking over the glass floor was also thrilling! All the staff members were also friendly and always ready to help you out with taking your photos. I gave it four stars because the tickets were a bit pricey.
