About 20 km from the Pinancles, well worth the visit, walker friendly and seal path all the way.

Nice little loop around the lake. Very peaceful and beautiful. Very cool to see the stromatolites, descendants of the earliest lifeforms on Earth. Recommend coming for a little stroll.

Large car park short walk along the purpose built walkway. You can venture round the whole lake (1.4km). We view those near the first walkway viewpoint. Boards placed with information and do’n’don’ts.

We visited on a weekday evening for a stroll after dinner. We liked that the place was quiet and peaceful. Walking was easy on the boardwalk. We even saw wild kangaroos. It was a shame that despite the signs that dotted the boardwalk saying that the stromatolites shouldn't be touched, many of the stromatolites appear to have already been damaged.

Amazing to be able to go on the board walk and see this so close to the car park.

You can walk the whole track around the lake or go to the right and see them at the first lookout. Area is flat and accessible.

It is an easy and easy walking trail around the lake, but there is no scenery to see. The only good thing is that there is a place very close to the lake. The surrounding plants are full of white salt spray crystals, which is very special. The ancient living fossils in the lake are also very special and worth spending time. It's worth to take the time to walk around and see
