Great apartment and amenities. The front desk staff are very friendly and caring, specially Jason who helped a lot with the process of returning Amazon package. I highly recommend staying at the Azure.

If you’re looking to rent please stay away from this building. There are so many things that will make you wish you never moved in. The place does look pleasant and does have a gym, roof top etc. but does it really matter when you will be paying heating bills that are outrageous if you want to live warm. The drafts are in all rooms (the glass walls are the issue). The entire apt gets very cold due to all the air that comes in. Weirdly, the apt comes with a washer and dryer but no microwave. The washer and dryer look better than they work. The washer doesn’t always works to it’s best potential leaving clothes very wet and the dryer never dries well. It takes at minimum two hours just to get tshirts dried and that’s just decent enough to hang them but not super dry. I can go on and on about issues and while these seem like it’s just little things try living in a cold apt or having to pay high utilities which is the only alternative we have. Putting in a work order is a waste of time because they never actually make anything better. There’s also a bunch of college students living in this building as it is being used as college apts but tenants never find that out u til after moving in. The room sizes are very small. Don’t expect to put a queen size bed and be comfortable. The balconies do not have lighting for some reason they didn’t think it was necessary. Overall, this building I would rate as a one star. Over 4k of rent for a cold, high utility bills, not working properly appliances with poor maintenance building is what you will get at The Azure

The front desk staff are absolutely amazing. They’re the best building staff I’ve ever had because of their warm, funny, and kind demeanors. Overall, the apartments are beautiful (especially the balcony & kitchen, though the bedrooms are really tight) but there are some issues (hence the lower rating):

Horrible air drafts on the windows*, dryers never work fully, management company claims to fixes all these things but hasn’t (and it’s been almost 2 years). In the past, the building was used as a dorm and there are still remnants of that. Over time, it seems fewer undergrad students are living there (graduate students are perfectly fine since they’re much more mature) but they definitely still have a presence.

*Since my initial review, they have gotten more responsive, but the issue still persists - even if I’m not opening the doors at all (during the winter for example). My hunch is that it’s actually that because the wind draft on the street is so strong (not their fault, to be fair), it’s actually the wind that’s ripping the insulation away from time to time. Not sure how they can fix this problem permanent truthfully, but I do think they haven’t given enough attention to it.

Yes, there are college students but they do their best to keep to themselves and not bother anybody.

The elevator has issues sometimes, it just depends on the time of day.

Management was a bit iffy at first but they hired a new superintendent and he gets stuff done ASAP!

The location is convenient as it's by all major subway lines, across the street from a Trader Joe's, Target, and Shopping mall.

The street is a bit noisy and construction can be loud but it's not persistent.

Overall, it's a solid place!

Great location, apartments, rooftop, lounge, and a decent gym. I rented a shared bedroom through King's College internship program. The price was good, but luckily I didn't have a roommate because then, the bedroom would've been small for two people to share, and expensive. The price for a single bedroom is a little expensive, but it's the average price for the city of New York honestly. There's a concierge 24/7, which is terrific, and they are very friendly and nice persons. Unfortunately, they only have 2 elevators, which could sometimes be a problem especially if one elevator is being held by an employee or a resident moving in or out, so it takes forever to wait for the other elevator. Few times in my 4-month stay, one of their elevators broke down, and it's honestly bad especially before going to work. I once waited for about 10 minutes and was late to work. There's also some construction projects going on in the area, so it's kinda noisy sometimes. However, my stay in The Azure was incredible.

Luxury!!! What a joke! If you enjoy paying top dollars and living in a dormitory, then this is your place. Management is a joke, nothing works properly, nothing is repaired properly....all you hear is excuses.
Elevators are a mess. 10 min wait for elevators...
We were informed a “new luxury building in Downtown Brooklyn,” the only thing accurate about that statement is it’s in downtown Brooklyn!
The amenities are overrun by college students and often feels likes it’s either a library for students, or a frat party on Fridays and Saturdays.
If you moved here because you have a new baby and wanted a little more space and luxury (and of course a nice place to raise a baby) like we thought, we now know it’s all lies!
Elevators are constantly down! Going up and down 10 flights of stairs ( we live on floor 10) has become a norm.... but with a baby and a stroller, this is unacceptable.
The front desk staff are fantastic and always helpful!

Management is interested in only collecting rent.
Steer clear, much better options are available.
For a Top dollars rental, I would expect top dollars LUXURY complex with luxury amenities.
Two words for you “steer clear!”

Don’t move in here. Please. It is a contrived luxury. I have been having so many issues such as broken parts in the apartment, contract issues, smell coming in from other apartments, heavy construction noise, etc. The worst part is the college kids. I was never informed that college kids will move in here, and they now totally bombard the gym, the common room, etc. The elevators take very long...so if King’s college student reads this- the elevator takes so long because of you guys.

I hope I find a better, quiet place soon. The people who work in the building are very nice though.
