This is a great statue depicting the moment Brigadier General Lloyd Tilghman and his horse were mortally wounded at the battle of Champion Hill. An artillery fragment passes through his chest and into his horse. Initially buried in Vicksburg his body was reinterred to Woodlawn Cemetery in New York, with his family.

Monument to a traitor to our nation who fought to enslave his fellow man. Disgusting.
