Grew up in grays ferry. Vare is a great place I have plenty of memories as a child here.. Including being a lifeguard for the Rec at the pool
Not Being Cruel, but Vare Recreation Center REALLY needs to be RENOVATED. It's a Good Playground in an Ok Neighborhood. Please fix it up for the KIDS. I was there today and I was VERY DISAPPOINTED 😞
To be totally honest with you I'm so happy how they did very Recreation Center for the younger children in the teenagers
My kids enjoy this playground.
They had COCKROACHES in the boys and girls bathrooms! It's very dirty! The janitor is so mean and doesn't do her job! Overall Vare Recreation Center is a dirty nasty place
Vare is kind of dirty and gross, but the rec center is awesome and the field is big and clear. It's lit up at night time, which I think is a plus. The playground could use some TLC. The public pool seems pretty popular in the summer, however its disorganized and always overloaded. I see a lot of soccer games going on here.
Very fun place for the community. Extremely entertaining soccer tournaments on Sundays. I'm proud to be a team photographer.
