Stumbled into this spot by accident when visiting Birds of Prey refuge. Beautiful spot.with a very interesting history. Great museum, especially if you want to learn about electric supply/rural electrification.

Great picnic area. Boat/water access. Good views below cliffs for birds of prey.

Lovely place for a picnic. Hardly anyone there whwn we visited. There is a great view from the overlook just before you head down the hill to the Snake River.

Very beautiful and peaceful place. Enjoyed the view of the river going through huge canyons. Not too far from boise. Not only the destination but enjoyed the journey as well, roads leading to this place are surrounded by small mountains.

A beautiful place to picnic and if visiting on Saturday between 10am and 4pm the museum is very interesting. A lot of history behind the dam and how it helped with irrigation in the area.

Built in 1901, this dam produces enough power to supply 18,000 homes! It harnesses one part of the 1.000 mile Snake River. I shot several pictures of the massive cliffs that the Snake River carved out over time. Very beautiful!
