Cannot recommend geo tours enough! An amazing tour, with an amazing guide, in some amazing scenery. Please if you are in Port Fairy then you cannot skip this tour. Mike was very kind enough to drive us to and from himself and offered us plenty of opportunity to do the tour the way we wanted to. Even if geology isn’t your thing, Mike makes it interesting!

My wife, young daughter and I spent a really amazing afternoon with Mike. I would recommend this activity to anyone of any age as a really interesting, fun and enlighten experience! Mike is a really great guy who has a lager than life passion for the nature environment around Port Fairy and surrounding. He is great to talk to and clearly loves sharing his great knowledge on the area. We enjoyed our afternoon with him even more that we thought we would. It was a wonderful personal and professional experience, I would recommend to familys, couples and anyone who enjoys a fun enlightening afternoon. Really great value too! A must if you're in the port fairy area!

My partner and I took two children (5 and 7) on a geotour of Port Fairy with Mike. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and found it really fascinating. Mike went out of his way to ensure the tour was interesting for both the kids and the adults. He was very warm and welcoming and encouraged interaction throughout the tour. It was fantastic to learn about the last 100,000 years or so of the area and visit several different sites around Port Fairy. We would recommend this tour to all, young and old.

We booked our tour after a recommendation from a friend. Mike proved to be an enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide. He brought the geological history of the region to life and had our whole group discussing the things we learned for the remainder of our time in Port Fairy. Mike was also extremely generous with his time. We would highly recommend a tour of Tower Hill and the Budj Bim park with Mike.

We were treated to a hands on exploration of the local landscape of port fairy including its history as a place of volcanic channels. Mike is passionate and knows how to explain things to children in a way that engages. Mike jumped in our car and directed us around which was a fun and easy way to your and learn the geological past of Port Fairy. Highly recommend!! Had a fantastic tour with Mike today of some of the fascinating geological features of the Port Fairy area today. The scenery is fantastic and Mike has an in depth knowledge. Really enjoyed the experience and could have gone all day rather than what seemed a short few hours.

We had a very interesting, informative and educational afternoon with Mike. We visited the Mt Eccles volcano, Budj Bim area, lava tubes, Lake Surprise, caves and lava blisters and Mt Napier in the distance. Mike had the ability to paint a picture of the geological events and processes which gave rise to these amazing features. You could drive through this landscape yourself without appreciating how it all worked but Mike’s lifetime experience as a geologist gave great insights. Highly recommended.
