As of May 4 2024, splash pad is not on, despite the hours on the sign saying it should be. Playground is fine. We tried to have a picnic lunch but the flies overran us.

I really enjoy walking my dog at this park. It is well kept and I have never had any problems with other dogs being loose. My son and his friends will play basketball for hours. The splash area is also nice; especially during the hot season.

They updated the playground, and it's looking really nice. The grass and other plants and trees are well kept.

It's a nice park where you can walk or bike around their trail, there's a volleyball sand court, a water park and some bench's. My only complaint is the park is closed and has been for awhile with no ETA doesn't look like anything is wrong with it other than the pile of dirt.

All around McAllen has great parks. My family particularly loves Zinnia because it is a smaller park it is not as busy. Also this park has grills! There are multiple park tables with shade and a grill around the park. There is something for each one of my kids, from my little ones all the way up to my high schoolers.
