Very nice enviroment. Cheap entry cost. The exibition was pretty diverse. ±1 hour needed to enjoy the museum.

Interesting selection of historic pieces. They are all labeled well and easy to understand. Just enough information without being boring or confusing.

Wow! I had a great time exploring this museum. The staff were friendly and kind. There were great exhibits (with English translations or subtitles for videos) with lots of interesting information. The setup was good and easy to follow as well. It's definitely worthwhile to spend an hour here!

The museum is very interesting with a lot of exhibits to see. Starting from the bronze age to the '40s of the 20th century there is a lot to see. My personal best are the Bulgarian royal family horse carriage, the desc of Stephan Stambolov, one of Bulgaria most controversial PMs. The museum offer English texts for all exhibits as well as the opportunity for blind people to touch some of the exhibits and information on Braille alphabet. The staff is very polite and helping, and they will gladly answer all your questions. The souvenir shop offers one of the best quality magnets and other souvenirs I've ever seen. If you are looking for a museum where you can spend a couple of hours - don't hesitate to go.
Every first and third week of the month in Thursday the museum is with free entrance.

This is a cool museum to spend the afternoon. It used to be a bath house, but converted to a museum that houses some of the more recent historical artifacts of Sophia. The exterior of the building is beautiful and truly a work of art. Is conveniently located right in downtown, so you can't really miss it.

We recently visited the Regional History Museum of Sofia and found that it houses an extensive collection and serves as a valuable resource for learning about Sofia's rich history. However, the presentation of the exhibits felt a bit outdated, and we missed the presence of interactive elements. As a result, we didn't find the museum particularly engaging.
Nevertheless, we would recommend this museum to those interested in Sofia's history. You can discover a wealth of fascinating information and artifacts related to the city's past.

Friendly staff on entrance, affordable price and great experience inside. The museum is not very big, therefore easy to explore. There’s enough information and everything is translated into English as well. We visited it during the week in the late afternoon and the museum was almost empty so we had it all for ourselves. The area outside the museum and the building itself also made the visit worth it. There’s a little garden with flowers and benches outside and it has a very central location.
