Classic comedy bar atmosphere that pairs laughs with a small entree menu or buffet dinner.

Everyone who took the stage was really funny. The food was delicious and staff were great. I loved it and will be back for sure. I highly recommend them

This is a seriously mixed review. We’ve been here multiple times and the comedians are always great, regardless of if you find them funny or not, they are all putting it out there and giving it their all. The lower reviews frankly is for the ops team , they force you to sit in places to make the place feel fuller when you’ve reserved a seat and then let walk ins come in and take the better seats, it’s bizarre and all driven about how their serving staff rather than the customer experience. Beyond that the attitude for asking to move one table over with an absolute no and a heavy debate was an interesting approach from the staff given the laid back attitude of the venue. Puts a damper on what should be a light hearted night but odd red tape for no reason. Probably won’t be back and hard to recommend given the other amazing options for standup in Toronto

Absolute comedy is a great uptown location for the art of standup comedy! The atmosphere is perfect for the vibe one expects of a good standup show! The drinks come in variety and the fries food options come in great portions and are delicious

Absolute comedy is a great place for a date, time out with friends or family, or even just to go on your own to have some drinks. The worker who helped me while I was there was efran, great guy 10/10 service from him and so down to earth. They also have a pool table to kill some time before a show, the food is pretty decent for a comedy club. I would 100% recommend this place, good vibes.

We always have fun at Absolutely Comedy! Amazing shows, whether you go to their headliner shows or their amateur nights. Also, every time you go you enter a draw for 10 tickets to bring all your friends next time.

I’ve been here a few times and it was decent and the price is reasonable, but this time they changed the headliner without providing any warning or reason. That’s not fair for the people who came to see that specific comic. Also, most of the comics that night relied heavily on really raunchy “humour,” but it was just so distasteful and not funny at all. Maybe they should filter the comics more. Really good comedy doesn’t need to be so explicit and foul.

Absolute Comedy at Young and Eglinton has become somewhat of a regular haunt for me, and despite a few quirks, it's been mostly a fun ride.
The staff, seem to have their off days and on days. Luckily, my visits have mostly been on the sunny side, with friendly faces making the experience all the more enjoyable. The staff is usually VERY happy when you choose to sit in the front because it makes their lives easier and I LOVE a good front row in a comedy show.
I have a bit of a secret weapon for getting in—the free tickets from their post-show raffle. It's like hitting the comedy jackpot, and I always try to round up some pals to fill the club with laughs.
Sean deserves a special shoutout. Dealing with him is a breeze—he's friendly, straight to the point, and always helps me snag those coveted tickets without a hitch.
Now, onto the slightly peculiar stuff. The club has this thing about not offering tap water, which has left me with a bad dry taste in my mouth.
And let's not forget the bathroom stalls. The gaps between the doors and the floor are, well, quite tall. It's like having an unintentional bonding session with strangers while you're in there.
Despite these little oddities, Absolute Comedy is a gem. With its mix of laughs, friendly faces (mostly), and the thrill of the raffle, it's a spot I'll keep coming back to. Come for the laughs and embrace the "communal" bathroom experience!
