I recently visited Ishihara Coffee and had a superb experience. The coffee here is exceptional, easily one of the best I've ever tried. The butter toast was incredibly comforting, giving a delightful, homey feeling with every bite.
The prices are very fair, especially considering the high quality of both the food and drinks. The owner is lovely, serving all the customers himself with excellent English and a super friendly demeanor.

Perfect drip coffee and delicious butter toast! Beautiful Japanese style cafe ♥️ Master Ishihara is very friendly, kind and perfectionist. Thanks a lot 🙏🏼

This is my new favorite coffee shop in Kyoto. Compact and charming, this coffee shop offers coffee, tea, and toast in a mellow environment. No smoking which is great and seemingly hard to find given that you can still smoke in many coffee shops. The owner is super kind and provides great service. Check it out if you are in the area.

Beauty of a coffee shop! The owner is delightful, makes you feel right at home as he takes time to prepare great pour over coffee. And the simple toast and butter is heavenly before a day of roaming Kyoto’s streets.

Beautiful cafe with an elegant interior that encourages a relaxed and quiet atmosphere.
The cafe owner is very classy and warm, like his cafe.
We had the American style poured coffee. It was lovely! It has an intense strong coffee flavour and a subtle fruity finish without the bitterness.
I definitely recommend ordering the buttered toast on the side. The buttery bread is very complimentary to the coffee.

Probably the best coffee I’ve had in Japan so far. Butter toast was simple but absolutely delicious. Owner speaks really good English and very friendly and welcoming.
