Walked in yesterday morning with a skin problem. Was told I'd be texted re an appntmnt soon ... actually a few minutes, with an appntmnt time one hour after I walked in. A doctor examined me and immediately ordered the requisite meds, cream, etc. Better and speedier treatment than I'd get privately. A 100% recommendable NHS GP surgery.

I was listened to with respect and referred for blood tests and MSK. The results of the blood test were accessible and Dr Vigars responded promptly with a referral to rheumatology.and an appointment with MSK was set up for 14.8.2024.

This is a great GP service. I’ve been attending since I was born! Good knowledge and very helpful (esp Dr Vigars). PATCH’s gets responded to very quickly.

Absolutely rude, receptionist and completely dismissive of all patients and healthcare providers/professional regardless the situation involving the patient and should not have a job working patients especially over the phone. Only worked with this surgery for a short amount of time and only heard bad experiences with the receptionist from other patients and healthcare providers.

I've been a patient of Sterndale Surgery for 15 years and always pleased with service provided. The team are very welcoming and patient focused and especially Joy who's gentle touch and pleasant manner have overcome my fear of injections.

All doctors in Sterndale Surgery it’s very nice and professional, including reception staff. I’m long time in this surgery and I never had any problems. Thank You very much for all your help last 18 years. Miss: Bozana Raca.

Joy has done a few of my children’s injections & made them feel very comfortable. I also had an appointment with her today in which she also made me feel very comfortable. She is very chatty and lovely to speak to. Thanks Joy!

Was supposed to get baby’s vaccine done today and came 10 mins late and was told by the receptionist that Joy has decided to not take us. I don’t know what kind of response that is. She had taken a baby in place of our time so I could have been next in their appointment. I’m not sure what gives Joy the right to just decide to not take us then she just kept waltzing around the lobby chatting to the receptionists, going back in, getting her coffee, literally taking a break when she could’ve taken our appointment. This all just seemed out of spite as if it’s not her job.
Also (didn’t catch the receptionists name but I’m guessing he’s an Asian man) lied to me and told me he called out my name when I left the lobby to assist a patient which is untrue as my partner was in the lobby waiting for us to be called on. Plus there would be no reason as to why he would call my name because they call the patient’s name not the mother of the baby therefore my husband would’ve responded, so he clearly lied. I asked him if there was any other availability and he said no and after waiting an hour there, no other patients were seen by Joy anyways so just seems to be a lot of animosity on her part and bulls*
