Absolutely beautiful
Easy to get to by metro, about a 15 min walk from the silver spring metro station. Nicer neighborhood than the eastern corner.
This stone remains unrepentant and refuses to rehabilitate itself and will soon be transferred to South Carolina to live among other recalcitrants.
One of those obscure things that if you like history, geography, you might find interesting. Very simple marker well aged. No parking.
Feels weird to review a landmark. It's an eroding stone with a small fence around it. It's just down the slope from the road and safety rail, toward the condos, and easy to miss or confuse with a creek. There's no park or parking like the south and west markers have
As with the other Washington Boundary Stones, this kissing this one gives you a gift. After doing so, I realized that I now only need 4 hours of sleep per night to be completely rested. This has been a life changer for me as I finally have time to catch up on all those shows on Netflix.
Neat place to see on a walk. It is right where the south-side west- bound side walk ends. Map suggests further back.
