IMAX Victoria

IMAX Victoria is a wonderful theatre. Seats are comfortable and just about every seat has a good view. The screen is the largest in British Columbia, laser sharp imagery, great surround sound. They show 45-minute documentaries as well as full length Hollywood feature films. About the only negative comment I have is that the sound (especially for Hollywood type films) is often way too loud, to the point that it hurts my ears. I understand the concept of big screen, big sound, but the sound volume doesn't need to be at ear-damaging levels.

What an amazing theater. Attached to one of the greatest museums in western Canada. The concession stand with everything that you need. They play educational movies and blockbusters. If you have the opportunity to see movie on the largest screen in western Canada, this is the place to do it..

We saw Shakleton while in Victoria. The film was great. We've been to the theater before. Very comfy, a great variety of films. And the IMAX experience is grand. Definitely a must visit. The museum is also worth the visit and the surrounding area has some great eateries, shops and even street entertainment.

Very much loved this theatre. Perfect for a date night! It’s very special being in museum in my opinion. When you walk out you land in the heart of Victoria and right next to parliament building. We watched Dune part 2 in the evening and it was lovely to get to this theatre in day time and got out to all the beautiful lights outside which was quite special. The theatre it self is pretty good as in it was clean, comfy and both visual and audio quality were great. Staff were nice and friendly. Overall we had a really good experience in this place.

DO NOT RECOMMEND EVER! This was the MOST uncomfortable experience of my entire life. The seats are super shallow and the head part is pushed forward so your neck is in a terrible position the whole time. My husband thought that the people behind him were pushing on the back of his seat with their feet during the whole movie, but I assured him that all the seats were like that! The only time I had relief was when he got up to use the bathroom so I could sit sideways with my legs on his seat. This movie theatre needs to replace all of their seats!!! I couldn't even enjoy the movie because it was so distractingly uncomfortable. This place sucks.

My friend bought me a year pass, and I finally got to experience the IMAX at 57 years old!
We have been three times and sat through three shows each time.
So AMAZING!!
I recently went and saw Queen.
Wow!!! If you get the chance, go to this Venue and check out the assortment of showings they have on.

We watched the Queen live in Montreal film. It was great and the picture and sound were very good
I can hardly believe I am saying this, but the sound could have been a bit louder. Most probably thought it was adequate but I felt to be a little bit more real it could have been a little louder. All in all a very enjoyable experience.
