Chamundi Hill in Mysore is home to the revered goddess Chamundeshwari, also known as Nada Devate. Located at the hilltop, buses are available to the temple with fares of ₹35 for AC and ₹30 for non-AC. The temple is usually crowded on Tuesdays, Fridays, and weekends. Photography is not allowed inside, and the temple is well-secured. Be cautious of monkeys outside, as they may snatch bags or pooja items. After darshan, devotees can partake in prasada from 1:00 to 3:30 PM.

I visited this temple recently, and it was a wonderful experience. The temple is very peaceful and beautifully maintained. The atmosphere inside is calming, and you can feel a sense of spirituality as soon as you enter. I felt spiritually uplifted after my visit. Must visit for anyone seeking peace and a connection with the divine.

Visiting the Chamundeshwari Temple in Mysuru was a truly memorable experience. The journey itself, riding up the mountain on a bike, was absolutely breathtaking. As we ascended the winding roads of Chamundi Hill, we were treated to stunning panoramic views of Mysuru, with the city sprawling out beneath us. The cool breeze, the lush greenery, and the serene atmosphere made the ride feel like a spiritual journey in itself.

Upon reaching the temple, we were greeted by the majestic sight of the Chamundeshwari Temple, dedicated to Goddess Chamundeshwari. The temple's architecture is awe-inspiring, with intricate carvings and a towering gopuram that captures the essence of Dravidian style. The sanctum was peaceful, and the darshan was smooth despite the crowd, thanks to the efficient management by the temple staff.

We stayed for the sunset, and it was nothing short of magical. Watching the sun dip below the horizon from the temple grounds was a serene experience, painting the sky with hues of orange and pink, which perfectly contrasted with the deep green of the surrounding forest. As night fell, the view transformed yet again, with the lights of Mysuru twinkling in the distance, creating a picture-perfect moment.

The combination of the beautiful day and the night views made this visit one of the most special experiences I've had in Mysuru. Whether you're looking for a spiritual retreat, a nature escape, or just a place to enjoy some peaceful moments, the Chamundeshwari Temple offers it all. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Mysuru!

Divine feeling at the top of the hill situated in Mysore. We must wait for Darshan since it is usually crowded. 1+ hour for sure.
Mahishasura statue is an iconic place on this hill which can't be forgotten in a life time.
When in Mysore, make sure you visit here

Main God: Chamundeshwari

Ambience: Temple is very small, not maintained well

Special Entry Ticket: ₹100 & ₹30 (may vary on weekdays)

Car Parking: Yes

Toilet: Yes

Darshan Timing: up to 1pm & 4pm to 8:30pm

Cloak Room: No

Mobiles Allowed: Yes, not allowed to use.

Experience: Please opt for the ₹30 special ticket instead of the ₹100 one. The queue for the ₹100 ticket is much longer than the ₹30 queue.

If you're in good health, take the steps to reach the temple. It's a beautiful, green area, and the experience is well worth it. The climb involves 800-1000 steps.

One of best devine place in chamundibetta Mysore.Located on top of a hill. It's a very beautiful Hindu temple. Very much crowded with a lot of visitors and tourists who came to seek blessings. Sadly we couldn't enter the temple due to the crowd but happy to visit and see the temple from outside also.
This well-known tourist spot in Mysore is a must-visit for those seeking goddess blessings. The temple's charm is delightful, although it can get crowded on weekends and Friday mornings. However, for a small fee of Rs 100 or Rs 30, visitors can opt for fast entrance or special entry, respectively, ensuring a smoother experience. Don't miss the opportunity to explore the nearby nature paths and enjoy the fresh air. While parking is available for a fee and a short walk away, it adds to the overall convenience of visiting this sacred site.

Divine temple. The path leading to the temple has numerous small shops selling toys, decor items and stuff. Do visit in evenings so you can view the city from the hill top. Very nice views.
