Staff, when they finally manage to answer the phone, are argumentative — even when they are in the wrong. Not at all helpful, and the online registration/renewal is a real slog.

I usually prefer not to write a review if it's terrible, but please do better. I've called countless times after getting error messages everytime I try to file an annual return online and the call centre has been unhelpful and very condescending and one representative just hung up on me. How rude.

I went to this office for document authentication purpose and the whole process took surprisingly less than 10 mins. Paid $12 only. The officer was friendly as well. Good job guys!

After calling a few times it's Patricia who got things all straightened out for me. No one ever informed me that I was sending in the wrong papers as I did not ever receive these with the Compagnies Office envelope.

On May 4th I paid for my name registration. I also paid the extra $60 to expedite the process. They told me I could either have it mailed out to me or alternatively someone would call me to let me know when it is ready. I received no call. On May 16th I call to find out the status of the registration as we are past the expedited date of completion. Patricia claims it’s ready for me. I ask why I wasn’t informed it was ready as they said they would and how I get my $60 back for them failing to meet their deadline. She gave me snotty attitude back. Awful that the city has such arrogant people operating that department.

Absolutely terrible when some forms can't be completed online with an electronic signature especially when the office is closed. Forms still have to be dropped off at the office and days later they will get back to you if something is missing including outrageous additional fees not shown on the web site for faster service.

These poor reviews below are not unfounded. I received one of those threatening cancellation letters also and called in and they said to disregard the letter. They are impossible to reach properly and the excuse is that everyone is working from home. I would think that no business registration should be cancelled if their is not enough working staff to facilitate professional services. There are enough staff to cancel you but not to service you.
