Such a cute little zoo! Well designed, easy to get around and view all the animals. Great price and free parking.

Love John Ball Zoo & the employees. The animals are always so well kept & everyone is always so great! We got our faces painted this time but they also have Camel rides, zip lines and a rope course for very reasonable prices.

***FYI - If receive food assistance you can get $2 entrance fees

John Ball Park Zoo is our favorite place to play. I have been attending this zoo for 30 years and passing that love now to my young son has been a joy. The constant improvements and upgrades keep us full of wonder every time we come back.

We love this zoo, and we also love the lantern festival. If you haven't been, definitely add it to your trip list. We have gone a few times, each time we have really enjoyed ourselves. There's a lot to see, but definitely wear walking shoes.
The gift shop has become a little sad, I find the options are less than before and prices have gone up (in comparison with other zoos)

We went to the Lantern Festival for the first time this year and it is awesome! We are a family of 5- ages 7 to 12- and all of us enjoyed it! We had 830pm timed tickets and it wasn't quite dark enough in the beginning, but by the end, it was perfect to see the lights of the lanterns! The animals are not out to see but we the eagle was out last night and the snow owl, otherwise it's all about the lanterns. There was other entertainment too, but we did not see that. The bubble machine was probably our favorite spot to stop. Because it's almost over, our night was sold out and therefore busy so some places we did not stop for pictures, but the flow moves nicely and plenty of room for strollers and wheelchairs.

My 2 daughters, my friend, and I visited the zoo for the Lantern Festival, and we had a great time. My only criticism is that there should have been maps handed out so that we would know all of the entry and exit points ahead of time because the exhibit is quite large.

I haven't been to the zoo in at least 5 years. A group of us went to the Lantern Festival. I loved it. So much to look at, the walk through the zoo was beautiful and relaxing, and parking was super easy. I am already planning another visit for later this summer.
