Used to love going here on my lunch breaks, especially in the fall/winter/spring when the humidity is lower. PLEASE fix the boardwalks! When it is open it's a 5 star gem, but it's been closed down for 2 years now with boardwalks in disrepair.

They do not allow dogs here. This is the only park in all of Florida where I've been asked to leave with my dog by an employee of the park. I have a well trained pit bull. She was neither aggressive or unleashed at any point during my time here, yet I still got asked to go. It's unfortunate that some people are against having dogs at public parks, especially when our tax dollars go towards funding. We pick up after them, keep our distance and mind our own business. Some dog owners just ruin it for the rest of us. The other walkways have been blocked off due to storm damage and it seems as though they have not been repaired in years. Seems like the management is neglecting these main aspects of the park and is not communicating with the locals here on a future plan. Largely a disappointing experience.

We’ve been visiting Lake Lotus Park for quite a few years now and it’s a great place to take your family. The rangers are attentive, fishing is always a great option and the tragic, albeit short, is an educational experience. Nice park for a picnic too.

Used to love this park. Unfortunately the hiking trails have been closed since storms Nicole and Ian back in 2022. It’s been a year since the boardwalks have been available. Also the playground area has horrible amounts of red ants. Everytime we go at least one kid in our group ends up covered in ant bites.

Great place to take the family on a well maintained boardwalk. Our family enjoyed seeing turtles, birds and abundant wildlife. There are several areas to stop and look at the beautiful lake. There are abundant fishing locations along the boardwalk so bring your poles.

Peaceful place with plenty of sitting areas, shaded benches, gazebos and designated fishing plus enjoyable boardwalk/ trails. For years it had been impossible to visit due to being closed every time we were in the area. Today was our lucky day. Open from Thursday to Sunday. Swings for kids and grills are also plentiful. Will be back on a Thursday definitely- for some relaxation for me and fishing for my hubby. A piece of heaven in Altamonte.

Lake Lotus Park is one of the best in the area. It includes walking trails and an stroller/wheelchair accessible boardwalk paths, a fishing dock, wildlife info, informative panels about the plants, lots of benches, a playground, and CLEAN BATHROOMS! 👍
The map is accurate and easy to follow. Overflow parking is across the street from the entrance and easy to navigate. A shuttle service runs every 25 minutes from the overflow parking to the park, visitors may also safely use the walking path from the overflow parking. Park Rangers are helpful and use golf carts to make regular rounds throughout the walking paths.
Enjoy! 🌳🌿
