Lots of history made at this site. A great way to see it for myself

Great piece of history even if it needs to be restored & cleaned up. It's not visible except through trees close up, but can be seen from the route 10 bridge. The ends of the bridge are in parts of town where you need to be careful.

I visited this place just in search of unknown things in Cleveland after 33yrs of living close to this bridge
They same bridge that was known for being Burned because of 2 neighborhoods battling over territories
If my studies are Correct it was Black and Whites
Polish and Blacks that were fueding over this territory
And in the end Someone set fire to the planks which burned the walking path and never been restored
Well what am I talking about
I'm talking about
Blacks and Whites
Polish and Blacks
Sadly doing this
To both Communities
Just to have Me
A
Polish and Black
Black and White
Person Residing in the same place they were Battling Over
I would love to be there When they take it down and when the new one is Built
I stand up for all Races
Amen

As an historic monument, this is an interesting one. It's a feeling between two communities made manifest, at odds with the greater government that surrounds them.
I'm struck by how it looks like a mini Golden Gate bridge, but without the success that came with that one.
The full story can be found at the Cleveland Historical Society website.

An important part of the city's history. Visit in winter and you can see it clearly.

I stopped to see it on Halloween this year and had a really hard time trying to find a nice clear view of it. It was very grown over.

absolute beauty. the story, although crazy, is so fascinating. also, this trailer is right down the street
