Sakae Sushi

My recent experience at this place was very disappointing. I was there with my children, and one of the staff members acted rudely and unprofessionally. He pushed my daughter aside without a word just to clean our table. This kind of behavior is unacceptable, especially in a family-friendly environment. The overall atmosphere was unpleasant, and despite paying for our meal, we were treated poorly. I expected much better service and respect. I won’t be returning and would caution others, especially families with young children, to think twice before visiting.

We went on a Sunday night for dinner. We got seated promptly and the waiter came by for our order. I ordered miso soup, the Yaya roll, and chicken katsu chicken dinner. My fiancee just had the spicy California roll. There was a rush after we ordered and only two cooks so we got our food a little out of order my fiancee waited for her food while I had my dinner and still waiting for my roll. It wasn't too long of a wait and the food was delicious. Will definitely be coming back. I recommend this place to anyone that likes sushi.

After a long day I really wanted sushi, I found this place on google maps and it had great reviews and the pictures of the food looked Amazing! So, we stopped in here after packing up our booth and the place was busy! That’s always a great sign. The wait for a table wasn’t too long and pretty soon we were seated. I saw they had ramen and udon dishes so we opted to get 2 rolls to split and we each had a noodle dish. I had the Tonkotsu Ramen and my husband had the Spicy Chicken Yaki Udon. I wanted the Philadelphia Roll and he got the Kamikaze Roll. They had Soju and I never had it before so I tried the peach Soju. Everything was Absolutely Delicious 🤤 if you want good food and great prices you definitely need to eat here! I saved this place on my maps so I can take my friend when we come back for Anime Midwest in July. 5 Stars, I would rate 10 if I could! They also give you a little cup of miso soup too that was complimentary!

Came for Mother’s Day for first time. Pretty extensive menu so we decided for their sakae special. Everything tasted great and the sushi was fresh and good size. The service was also very friendly despite them being busy.

Nicer inside than it looks from road! Really enjoyed lunch special poke bowls and tried the sushi sampler. Also excellent service!

I read and read reviews and most of them comment about how it's not the most appealing looking restaurant on the outside, but once you walk inside-it changes the atmosphere. It's cute little quaint restaurant. The food is incredible, and the presentation is beautiful as well. Very well done. We ordered the veggie tempera (delicious), as well as the YAYA, Five Star, Windy City and Philadelphia Roll with fresh salmon, it was delicious. Will definitely come back..

5/5 all across the board! Small, cozy place with phenomenal sushi and ramen. My tonkotsu ramen was so flavorful with the pork belly. Sushi was the freshest I've had in a while and simply amazing. Went for a long walk at the nearby forest preserve and a bowl of ramen afterward hit the spot.
