Not sure who the lady was on the phones at Brighton Dam Visitor Center on Sunday May 19th (2 separate encounters with her between about 1:30 and 5:30, but wow, was she unpleasant. Not to focus on race, but might narrow things down. Sounded like a middle/older-age white woman with a pretty legit Balmer accent. I called to find out the open/closed status Tridelphia, because I've been wanting to check it out and I know it was closed for a while for dredging. You would have thought I had the wrong number. It seemed such an inconvenience to her that I was calling an information center, asking for, of all things unholy... information. 😄

Then she called back at around 5:30 and asked me if I just called. I explained to her that I was the guy that called earlier asking for information about...

Nice place to go and enjoy the sun amidst beautiful nature. The walk by the stream is beautiful and relaxing.
Picnic tables are present, not sure if they need to be booked.

Spring and fall here must be awesome.

This park is great to relax and take the edge off after a long week of work. There is a calm and soothing stream , which is home to a wide variety of species, from crawfish to little frogs. Don’t expect to catch bass or cods there. There are plenty of space for picnic and to bbq your own food. There is a basketball court and playground. I actually like it more during fall right before they close for winter, its empty and you can meditate in harmony with nature. Parking is relatively enough , lots of public bathrooms aka johns .

Playground and barbecues. Dam is a bit noisy. Would prefer to see less grass and more wilderness or native meadow.

Closed for two years from June 2017 to June 2019 for renovations.

Small park with geese year-round and a playground with swings, slides and a basketball court. There is a covered area with grills for barbecues. My family and I like to sit by the water and listen to it as we watch the geese paddle by. Watch out for goose poop though! It's present year-round too!
