Federation Skating Club is an open and inclusive club that offers something for everyone. From the friendly and encouraging coaches, to the helpful and knowledgeable Program Coordinators, Federation is a fantastic club that supports each skater in their skating journeys.

There are few adult skating opportunities in the city so I'm really glad this skating club exists! They accommodate adult schedules really well, and the coaches are skilled and friendly. If you're an adult looking for lessons from beginning to more advanced figure skating lessons, you should contact this club!

Our experience with this skating club has been deeply disappointing, and I would strongly advise against joining.

- The management and program coordinators seem utterly unqualified. It feels as though the club is being run by a group of amateurs with no understanding of how to manage operations effectively. Skating sessions are consistently chaotic and poorly organized.

- During practice sessions, my child has spent roughly 50% of the time unsupervised, aimlessly wandering on the ice. This is not only a waste of time but also a significant safety concern.

- Do not be fooled by their claims of "affordable" pricing. Any cost savings are quickly negated by the sheer inconvenience and disarray. The club has frequently moved us to different locations around the city. This constant shuffling, especially during the winter term, has been incredibly inconvenient and frustrating.

For the sake of your time, money, and peace of mind, I urge you to look elsewhere for a more reliable and professional skating experience.

Both of my children have taken lessons through Federation Skating club and it’s been a fantastic experience. Neither child had any experience on the ice and we noticed a huge improvement even in the first couple of lessons. The instructor to student ratio isn’t too high and they cater to a variety of skill levels. I would recommend!

I had a disappointing experience at Federation Skating Club due to poor coaching. The instructor rushed through demonstrations without clear instructions, leaving beginners like myself struggling. Even after several classes, there was little progress; basics like bending knees weren’t taught, resulting in frequent falls. The coach was disengaged, rarely explaining techniques or interacting with students unless pressed.

Classes started late and were disorganized, yet students were rudely turned away for arriving early. The lack of improvement was noticeable among all, with diminishing attendance reflecting the growing dissatisfaction. It felt as though the slow learning pace was a tactic to prolong enrollment and fees.

In summary, the coaching was irresponsibly and incompetently handled, leading to a frustrating and unproductive learning environment.

Just absolutely wonderful to work with. I organized a group class with them, and they handled every (not insignificant!) hurdle that I threw their way professionally and generously. I would work with them again in a heartbeat. Thanks so much!

We have been enjoying group lessons from Federation Skating Club for a few years. The coaches are optimistic and encouraging regardless of abilities. They are very patient with children and fostered a welcoming environment for my neurodiverse children. We enjoy skating as a family winter activity.
