Scarborough War Memorial

I honoured our Veterans here, this year, and every year on the Eleventh month, Eleventh day, Eleventh hour. Lest we forget,. Never forget them.

The memorial itself is excellent. I have been going to the Remembrance Day service here for 40 years, and almost all of the last 15 years have had major issues in the ceremony. Often audio issues. Often with the MC singing into the microphone loudly without singing anywhere near the right notes. And this year, when the cadet band started to play God Save The King, the Legion played loud music over the speaker to the hymn O God Our Help in Ages Past, which wasn't part of the service at all. And then instead of doing the correct Anthem after the incorrect music played, they just skipped it. Disrespectful to the cadets, to the attendees, and to the Fallen. Hopefully they will get their act together to give this solemn occasion the honour and respect it deserves.

Only issue is it's in the middle of the Kingston Rd split with no safe way to cross.

Sad place...remeber our hero's forever. Freedom has to be fought for.
