I can't really tell you how the fountain was, because they had it shut down in mid-September when it was 90 degrees outside. Parking would be a nightmare in season, small lot for the beach and this place. It would be great if they kept this open when it was hot outside so the kids could cool off. Not impressed...
Always a fun time. Kids and adults all love it.
Pretty cool spot to let the kids splash around. As long as you do not park on the state park\beach property this is free. Parking is available for free in several lots in the small downtown St. Joseph area. The splash compass is just a few minutes walk from there.
This is our go-to Lake Michigan beach. Clean, everything is within walking distance such as the beach, food, restrooms, and the splash pad.

I was down there for the Fit4Fall 5k run. It's just a wonderful area. The beach, the water, and all the things to do. Of course it's best when it's summer but it made for great 5k scenery to have Lake Michigan right there.
Awesome water park right off the beach. Walk up the bluff and walk into downtown St Joseph for ice cream, fudge etc. Pizza place right next to the field and a bar upstairs. Old AM track station still active!
