Ever since I was in high school Lions Park has been specifically my favorite spot on the beach to go for privacy and beautiful scenery. I like to swing and watch the sunset, there isn't a lot of riff raff that far down from silver beach, and its just a local person's staple beach for everything

Really good park and beach, I like clean water, and not fast going deep, so kids play pretty safe in the water (parents, please still attention to your kids).
Also water mostly warm in this area during season.
I have been here 3 times, and parking all the time was available. Make sure to pay for parking, officers driving by every hour and spread tickets so easy.

Went with my mother and three children and we all enjoyed the beach. BEWARE OF PARKING - YOU MUST PAY. I learned this the hard way. When you have never been to the area and all you are focusing on is finding a parking spot you miss the phone-booth looking machine that said "Pay Here", on top of it. I saw it when we were leaving and after I got a $40 ticket. Maybe if we weren't a Boomer and GenXer, we would have thought it odd that there was a phone booth...OH...and if you are from those generations, thw booth is blue...just like the phone booths were. Maybe if it was bright orange it wouldn't have been so dismissive. Other than the $40 parking for me ($7 if you use the "phone booth") it was really enjoyable. OH....and there is a high chance you may need to parallel park...so, there is that anxiety on top of finding a parking spot on a super busy summer Saturday.

Beautiful beach and park. Quiet enough you can hear the waves crash. Lots of seagulls flying above.

No restrooms. Closest restroom is at the top of the bluff or Silver beach.

Watch out for strong undertows. No lifeguards SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK.
ENJOY!

The water was so blue. The kids had an awesome time and we didn't even get in the water. I have always loved Lions Beach.

Beautiful place to take excellent photos of the sunsets. Excellent family park with paid parking. Adequate amenities which include restrooms (in season) grills and a great play ground for the children. Not a safe place to swim with children.
Reason for 4 stars is the limited parking spots, so if you want to make it a day at the beach, plan on being there early! Enjoy.
