Majestic fort now in ruins! Each stone here narrates histroy.

Main highlight is the Ashokan Pillar Edict installed here by Firuz Tughlaq after it was brought from Topra, Haryana.

Well maintained garden, perfect outing for evenings.. located close to Raj Ghat & Kotla stadium.

A good maintained garden with beautiful trees.Well and Cleanly maintained place.
Best time to visit is morning hrs.

A structure of 20 stairs takes you to the beautiful look around the surroundings, an open air mosque can be spotted here.

When i have visited, it was cloudy with little bit drizzling environment because of which able to capture wonderful pictures.

30-40 mins of time will be enough to cover this place.

I visited Feroz Shah Kotla Fort solo on a Thursday evening. I prebooked my ticket for ₹20 from the ASI website. The fort, built in the 14th century by Sultan Feroz Shah Tughlaq, offers a serene and calming atmosphere. The site was not crowded, which made for a peaceful exploration.

The historical significance of the fort is evident in its ancient ruins and grand architecture. However, it could use some better maintenance as some areas were less well-preserved. Despite this, the quiet environment and the fort's historical charm make it a worthwhile visit for those interested in exploring Delhi’s rich past.

Low on ticket price, high on serene experience. Kotla fort is worth spending time in. During weekdays its nearly empty.

Empty, beautiful, green, calm.

This is one place to visit during weekdays.
It has all the makings of a fort, it is an dilapidated condition overall but still makes a beautiful place to soak in the history and architecture.

Ticket worth Rs.25 can be bought right outside the entry gate.

Online as well the tickets can be bought.

I would like to appreciate the guard Saab at the gate he was very polite and calm despite the inclement weather and sweltering heat.

The ticket counter person was very kind, he didn't fret about change for 500 rupees on a 25 rupees ticket.

Keep it up :)
Thank you!

One of the Most Important Historical places of Medieval India... Build By Firoz Shah Tughlaq... Here Ancient Indian Ashoka pillar is placed by him. This place is also famous for Formation place of Hindustan Socialist Republican Army by Bhagat Singh and Chandrashekhar Azad.
