Good

a huge fort complex with a set of astonishing, beautiful buildings inside. there are signs in front of the majority of buildings explaining what the building was about and the events happening there. it is a very informative and inspiring experience. as the fort showcases the wealth and ingenuity of mughal empire. definitely worth a visit when in Delhi.

An incredible piece of Indian history. This place is fantastic but busy. I recommend researching the history of it before going and showing up early. The crowds really pack in after noon. This place is so big that everyone could spread out and it didn't feel busy until we went to leave. They have a cafeteria to get food inside and many shops for tourists. There were stray dogs walking around and many school kids. There is a metro stop just outside of the Delhi gate, but expect to be swarmed by people selling and begging as you make your way inside.

The Red Fort, the largest monument in Delhi, is one of its most popular tourist destinations and attracts thousands of visitors every year. It is a monument of national significance. This place is great to spend the day with your family or friends.

Great and marvellous monumental structure of the mughal reign.........
It depicts the freedom struggle of our great freedom fighters.....
It is always a great moment when the honorable prime minister of India hoist the national flag of India from the Red Fort...
It have various museum's inside it. The gardens are well maintained....

Red Fort is a historic monument in Delhi that exudes grandeur and architectural splendor. The impressive red sandstone walls and intricate designs reflect the rich Mughal architecture. The fort's sprawling grounds and well-preserved structures offer a glimpse into India's rich history and royal heritage. The sound and light show held in the evenings bring the monument to life with captivating storytelling. However, the fort can get crowded, especially during holidays and weekends. Overall, Red Fort is a must-visit destination, providing a captivating experience and a deep appreciation for India's cultural and historical significance.
Nice place to visit with friends & family..I recommend to book tickets online because for offline tickets you need to stand in queue. If you want to explore all the places inside red fort then It will take 2-3 hours.

I have been a fan of Mughal architecture and red Fort won't disappoint you with its beauty and architecture.
It is maintained very beautifully and will be a very good option for a family day outing.
It has ample car parking and charges are 20rs/hour. There are e rickshaws which charge 12 rs from parking to red Fort main entry. Ticket entry is around 35rs and you can purchase that online too.

A great place to invest your time and energy and have fun with family..with 100% safe fun zone for kids and adults and different restaurants and cafe to serve you the most delicious food in Gurugram..

Well managed place. come and explore the beauty of the metro. Canteen, Toilets, female guards, wheel chairs and all possible amenities are there which makes your ride comfortable. Nice place.

That is an awesome place to visit. But here are some points you have to take care of....
1-You have to buy a ticket to enter so the standard one is for 50 and with the museum(pictures only)80, So the trick is buy the standard ticket only and after getting enter there is another museum with statues in it who's ticket you can't buy from outside so you have to get entry first and then you can buy the ticket for that museum from inside.
2-You can take pictures wherever you want it's not prohibited in the whole place.
3-Take change(cash) with you because for the ticket they don't take online payment.

I had visited Red Fort in new Delhi. The gate received its name from the fort's city. This is very beautiful place. the gate was constructed under Shah Jahan. The gateway consists of three stories and is decorated with square rectangular and cusped arched panels. The Fort is very beautiful from inside and outside. The are so many people coming from various states I recommend your all to visit this place .

Situated in Chandni Chowk in Old Delhi, it marks the site where the ninth Sikh Guru was beheaded on the orders of the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb on 11 November 1675. The Sikh regiment of the Indian army salute the Sis Ganj Gurudwara before saluting the president of India since 1979, the only instance of saluting twice in the Republic Day parade by a regiment of Indian army

Visiting the Lal Quila allows us to step back in time and immerse ourselves in the stories of ancient empires. It's an opportunity to admire the architectural marvels, walk the same paths as emperors did, and marvel at the craftsmanship that has stood the test of time. While exploring its magnificent halls and courtyards, it's hard not to feel a sense of awe and appreciation for the extraordinary craftsmanship and intricate detailing that went into creating such a majestic monument.
So, if you ever get the chance to visit the Lal Quila, be prepared to be captivated by its beauty and transported to a bygone era. It is indeed a remarkable monument that should be cherished and celebrated as an emblem of India's rich cultural heritage.
We went there in August, it’s really hot there, so keep umbrella with you, it is better to visit here in winters. We really enjoyed and you can even hire rickshaw here, you just need to buy tickets and you can also return from it.

Travel from Airport to Kashmiri Gate with pre purchased tickets was smooth. There is some problem at the exit gates, where the QR coded tickets sometimes does not open the exit gates of metro station. Station is comparatively less maintained, can be improved.

RED FORT IS GREAT,but the 4 museum which are inside has been turned into placard which says stories. This information can be found on Internet. Museums should consist of collection of items which communicate our heritage, arts, culture.

Visiting Red fort at night was a truly enchanting experience. The illuminated arch against the dark sky created a captivating contrast.
It is connected by metro, and has a market opposite to it, which is shoppers stop and has a great view at nights. Often crowded and this raises on weekends.

Kashmiri Gate was built as the entrance to a city of Shahjanabad, this city was surrounded by an ancient wall made of stone, for which bastions were built, fourteen doors were made for entry and exit in this city, in which One of them was named Kashmiri Gate. Being in the north direction from Shahjanabad city, it got its name Kashmiri Gate. This important monument was also famous for being used in the 1857 rebellion.

Kashmiri Gate is famous for it's Inter State Bus Terminal and you can get buses for every nearby state. Buses for Jammu, Amritsar, Katra, Gadwal Districts are easily available. Mostly, it supports the Roadways buses but you can get Volvo buses outside this place. In terms of staff cooperation, it's quite good and enquiry people inform you with patience. The cleanliness of the washroom is Ok, seeing that Lakhs of people travel here. Food stalls are available here and there's enough sitting space for travellers. सही जगह है, हर जगह के लिए बस आराम से मिल जायेगी, इसके पीछे ही मेट्रो स्टेशन है येलो लाइन।

Breaking the potsherd of his body head of the king of delhi, He left for the abode of the Lord.
None could perform such a feat as that of Guru Tegh bahadur.
The whole world bemoaned the departure of Guru Tegh bahadur.
Whit the world lamented, the gods hailed his arrival in heavens....

Jo Bole So Nihaal, Sat Sri Akaal...
It's very beautiful place and there are very peaceful place for your disturb mind.
It is a historic Gurudwara and is located in Old Delhi near Chandni Chowk. Gurudwara Sis Ganj Sahib is located near the Delhi metro and is next to a Mosque and a Temple.
Gurdwara Sis Ganj Sahib is one of the nine historical Gurdwaras in Delhi.
The ninth Sikh Guru, Guru Tegh Bahadur was beheaded here on 24 November 1675 on the orders of the Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb. However, before their body could be quartered and exposed to public view, it was stolen under the cover of darkness by one of his disciples, Lakhi Shah Vanjara who, then burnt his house to cremate Guru's body; today, at this site stands Gurdwara Rakab Ganj Sahib.

I Spend almost 2 hour inside of it. It's a historical place which would create excitement inside of us. It's a wonderful place and the technology to build it is very unique. The most interesting thing is without machinery the Quila is built which still exists in its original condition. You can book tickets by scanning the QR code and the ticket will be sent to the given mobile number. One will get a discount on the ticket if you book tickets online. I suggest go for online tickets and save your money.

Awesome

Originally known as the Palace Museum, this museum dates back to 1911 when it was located in the Naubhat Khana. It was later moved to the Mumtaz Mahal, originally used as a mess by the British occupiers. The museum is now under the aegis of the Archaeological Survey of India.
Most of the Mughal belongings and jewels of the Red Fort were looted and stolen during Nadir Shah's invasion of India in 1747 and again after the failed Indian Rebellion of 1857 against the British colonialists. They were eventually sold to private collectors or the British Museum, British Library and the Victoria and Albert Museum. For example, the Koh-i-Noor diamond, the jade wine cup of Shah Jahan and the crown of Bahadur Shah II are all currently located in London. Various requests for restitution have been rejected by the British government. The museum, therefore, is only able to show a very small fraction of Mughal property and heritage.

The place is historical , a must visit one time. The entry fee is 50 for Indians and 500 for foreigners. Also there are multiple museums and light and sound shows, you have to buy separate tickets for them. There is a cafeteria, and Delhi heights cafe inside the premises too. Both have a lot of food options. You'll enjoy it with your family and friends.

This is a very unique place to visit for everyone visiting or living in Delhi. It's not only deeply connected with our history but rather the culture of our country.
The fort is sprawling on a very large area, largely under military use. Still the smaller part is quite big. Most of the earlier building were destroyed by the Britishers after 1857 revolt. The present buildings are mostly made by the British. There are 4 museums and we can also enjoy light and sound programs in the evening.

Good Place but aware of rickshaw Wale as they demand high money, as I was there just for 3 km they demanded 300 , so Keep check in Maps , and take Ola if possible, , secondly Kashmiri Metro station is nearby just 1.5 km from Kashmir Gate , so prefer going there by walk.
In Delhi Metro is best convenient way to tour , as it Reachable to every place

I would recommend you just use the online ticketing facilities or the QR scan on the gates, helps in skipping the long que to enter these gates. Magnificent structure and great views to see this huge buildings.

Yes the wait is must but great. This is definitely worth it being there doing that and seeing it. The structural heritage and archaeology Marvel is pleasantly applicable to eye sight and visuals. Need a lot of time and patience to just view around

This is a must visit to get a feel about history. The place is vast and has a decent exhibition which shows various exhibits, photographs and storyline about British occupation and their tyranny. The struggle for independence, particularly the 1857 struggle is nicely depicted
It would have been good if the authorities can provide audio guides in foreign langauges which can make it really interesting
The overall place could be maintained better with more signboards and explanations

Great place to visit here with friends and family. Historical place, clean, well maintained. There are 2 museums that shows our independence war memories and few ancient items etc. There is a shopping street where you can purchase decorative items and ornaments too but the price is little bit high as compare to other markets. Ticket price is ₹80 per person with museum and ₹50 per person without meusum. Overall good experience.

Really, I loved this beautiful place "Lal Quila"! We were 4 friends and we enjoyed it so much. I'd recommend you guys if you wanna visit this beautiful place, go for it. There are many monuments and all of them are famous because of their attractive architecture, beauty, etc.

it's a great place to have fun with friends and family, now there are many rides for children and for adults as well to enjoy the beautiful place... u should visit the place at night nd see the whole view of red fort from the top of giant wheel...

It was a great experience visiting the Archaeological Museum in Delhi is a must see for people of all ages, especially kids. Traces its history from 1911 when it was situated in Naubat Khana, Archaeological Museum, however, later shifted to Mumtaz Mahal in Red Fort. Initially, the museum was set up with an aim to showcase the Mughal culture through their exquisite pieces of art, however, with time it also exhibited other annals of Indian history

A short visit of 30-60 minutes will be enough to cover this small museum for free...you will see various toilets from different countries and history of toilets... mostly it's empty...I went there alone but it would be a little more fun if you go there with someone else to laugh at some things....I won't upload more photos...go and visit once if u live nearby....

Located behind the Diwan-i-Aam, Rang Mahal has a paved way decorated with water fountains and a pool upfront. Although both the water fountains and pool are dry now.
There is an underground passage leading to the basement of Rang Mahal but it is covered with an iron gate restricting access to it.
The building itself is decorated with wall art etc.

The Rang-Mahal or the 'Palace of Colours', consists of a large hall, originally painted on the interior from which it derives its name.
This was the largest of the royal apartments and was also called 'Imtiyaz Mahal' (Palace of Distinction).

The intricate craftsmanship of the Red Fort is truly awe-inspiring. Every nook and cranny is adorned with delicate carvings, intricate marble inlays, and ornate motifs that reflect the artistic prowess of the Mughal artisans. One of the highlights of my visit was exploring the stunning gardens within the Red Fort. The perfectly manicured lawns, lined with vibrant flowers and fountains, provide a serene atmosphere amidst the bustling city. Walking along the pathways, I felt transported back in time, imagining the Mughal emperors strolling through these very gardens, enjoying moments of respite from their royal duties.
Another noteworthy feature is the Sound and Light Show that takes place in the evenings. This captivating spectacle recounts the history of the Red Fort and its significance, immersing visitors in a mesmerizing narrative accompanied by vibrant lights and melodious music. It is a truly enchanting experience that enhances the understanding and appreciation of the fort's rich heritage.

Very bad experience. Very few fans are working. Peoples are boiling inside the bus stop. Every corner is garbage section. Worst bus stop i ever seen in my life. You never feel like that this is the "Inter-state bus terminal" situated in Delhi.

Delhi Gate of Naman is the southern gate in the historic walled city of Delhi, or Shahjahanabad in 1638 AD. The gate links the New Delhi city with the old walled city of Delhi. It stands in the middle of the road, at the end of Netaji Subhash Chandra Road (or Netaji Subhash Marg), at the edge of Daryaganj.

Normal park for locals, not so special but you can find kids/ students roaming around there.
Before Covid, it was dating place for youngsters but now it has lost charm.

🇮🇳 When we saw the Red Fort from outside it was very beautiful. After that we booked tickets online. Then as soon as we entered the entry, there is a small market inside the Red Fort. Then we saw many gardens as soon as we went inside and we saw a throne on which all the kings used to sit. This throne was very beautiful. Then we saw a lot of museums

A Beautiful and Tranquil Visit to Sis Ganj Gurudwara!
I visited the Sis Ganj Gurudwara at Chandni Chowk Delhi and was blessed to experience a peaceful, calming and enriching visit. The Gurudwara's stunning architecture was awe-inspiring; the immaculately maintained grounds were a sight to behold, and the serene ambiance was overwhelming.
The gurudwara's staff and community members were welcoming and hospitable to all visitors. They guided us through the various ceremonies, rituals, and prayers that take place within the gurudwara's sacred precincts. The Kirtan, the religious hymns that were being chanted, the musical sounds of the harmonium and tabla, and the devotional atmosphere were all deeply moving.
The free kitchen Langar, which serves meals to all visitors, was a true blessing, especially for those who had traveled from afar. The food was delicious, nutritious and heartwarming, with an atmosphere of brotherhood that went along with the meal.
I felt eternally grateful to have had the opportunity to visit such a peaceful and spiritual place. The experience at the Sis Ganj Gurudwara was indeed a highlight of my trip to Delhi.
Overall, I would highly recommend a visit to this beautiful gurudwara for anyone looking for a peaceful and blessed experience. It's a great opportunity to learn about Sikh culture and the community's values of service, charity and equality that are exemplified within the walls of the Sis Ganj Gurudwara.
In conclusion, I would give it a 5-star rating, and I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the kind people at Sis Ganj Gurudwara for making my experience there truly memorable.

In conclusion, I would give it a 5-star rating, and I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the kind people at Sis Ganj Gurudwara for making my experience there truly memorable.

Gurudwara Sis Ganj Sahib is very old and scared place for Sikh followers. It's at Chandni Chowk. The place is very peaceful and sacred, although being situated in a very crowded road. There's parking available as well. But better visit this place in the early mornings to avoid traffic and parking problems.

It's a good place. It is better from outside rather than inside as per my opinion. The whole area is hugh and it took us 2-3 hours to cover the whole area. Better purchase the tickets online as it is cheaper and also no waiting in queues. Most of the archaeological sites I have visited in Delhi it is the most maintained maybe due to it's importance during the independence day speech. Connectivity with metro is incredible as it is within 50 metres from the Lal quila metro station. Will visit this place again but this time with better treking boots and better weather preferably winters.

Safdarjung Tomb in Delhi is a beautiful architectural masterpiece, showcasing the Mughal style of design. The monument is well-maintained and has a serene atmosphere that is perfect for a peaceful outing. The intricate carvings and beautiful gardens surrounding the tomb make it a must-visit spot for history and architecture enthusiasts.

It's very beautiful place and there are very peaceful place for your disturb mind. The cleaning facility is very good . People under the temple who are very loyal, gentle and simple .here simplicity shows here gentleness and give us a positive vibes .which makes us energetic and also the to handle the pressure of city's common problem

Kashmiri Gate is one of the 5 gates that have survived out of 14 in Delhi. It is the northern gate to the historic walled city of Shahjahanabad. Built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in the 17th century. The gate was so named because it faced north, towards the road to Kashmir.
The Gate played an important role in 1857 when both British and Indian freedom fighters used it during the mutiny.

The "Rang Mahal" (Palace of Colours) is a large chamber, its interior was originally painted, hence named "Rang Mahal", it was the largest of the royal residences. The building's interior was once richly painted and decorated. Some apartments of this building are called Shish Mahal due to tiny pieces of mirrors that cover the ceilings.
Through the center of the marble palace, a shallow canal called the Stream of Paradise (Nahr-i-Bihist) flowed into a marble basin carved into the floor. Under the Rang Mahal was a basement (tehkhana), which women would use on hot summer days.

The Delhi Gate is an entrance to the Red Fort in Delhi and is on the Fort's southern wall. The gate received its name from the Fort's city. The primary gate is the Lahori Gate, which is very similar in appearance.Delhi Gate, the second entrance to the Red Fort. The gate was constructed under Shah Jahan. Went there twice and the place is just amazing. A very vast area , which can't be explored in one go. One can go there for a walk, yoga and many different ways to keep you fit but the most important thing is the beauty of this park and that is the wide spread greenery, fresh air, amazingly calm environment, delhi have so much pollution but when you are here in this park you can just feel the freshness is still there in delhi. A must must visit place. I am sure if you love nature this amazing place is for you. Just sit and relax or bring your kids and let them play in a healthy environment . I am going again. Are you?

There are about 5-6 museums in the Red Fort area. The tickets are available along with the tickets for the Red Fort. A must visit for all history lovers and youth. It portrays history of India from 1857 along with Museums dedicated to great leaders like Subash Chandra Bose etc. Do carry your own food or water, there is no canteen inside.

Nice to visit in eve. 🙂

The "Rang Mahal" (Palace of Colours) is a large chamber, its interior was originally painted, hence named "Rang Mahal", it was the largest of the royal residences and was called "Imtiaz Mahal" (The Palace of Excellence).
This palace with cup-shaped arches was divided into 6 classes, the northern and southern parts of Rang Mahal were known as Sheesh Mahal (Palace of Glass).
Small pieces of glass are attached to the walls and ceilings of this palace, which reflect light and create a beautiful effect.
Along the length at its center was a water system called "Nehar-e-Bahisht" ("Stream of Heaven").

One of the attractions you can see in the 17th Century Red Fort is the Rang Mahal which is also known as the Colour Palace. It is one of several palace buildings you can visit when touring the fort.
The Rang Mahal served as an apartment chamber for the harem and is very similar in construction to the nearby Diwan-i-Khas building. It is famed for the lotus-shaped ivory fountain found within. At the time of our visit, you could only look into the palace in the direction of the fountain and you could only see it from afar so there is no close up or clear view of the lotus fountain. However, you can get a nice look at the channel which would have passed through the palace with perfumed water. While there is no water these days, the structure is in place, providing interesting imagery for what this palace might have looked like during its peak.
In the end, we found the Rang Mahal to be similar to several other palace buildings in the Red Fort. They seem to have been neglected over the decades. Also urbanisation and air pollution have done them no favours over the years and as a result they fail to leave the same lasting impressions you will have from places like Humayun's Tomb and Qtab Minar, both in Delhi, as well as the more grand forts and palaces scattered throughout Rajasthan.
There are other interesting attractions within the Red Fort, which include the Lahore Gate, Diwa-i-Am Public Hall and Diwan-i-Khas Private Hall. The Chatta Chowk and Naqqar Khana building are also worth checking out.
