Highly recommended. Very good value for money and under rated given the information provided and presentation of the main house and outbuildings. We have seen a lot of historic sites whilst travelling through Tasmania and this one is at the top of the list. Thoroughly enjoyed our time here wandering around the buildings and gardens. Amazing view of Stanley and The Nut. The staff were very friendly and informative.

Historical site that was enjoyable to walk around and learn about. Great view, well maintained, well documented, and has snippits of the way it was to the way it is now. With all historic sites, there are tales of joy, crime, hardship, and tragedy. Sure enough, this ticks off all of these.

Great place to see these beautiful old buildings and heaps of history.
It is absolutely lovely overlooking the Nut. Great for a photo!
Lovely short drive up the hill to Highfield. $15 per adult..well worth it.
Thank you to all the staff that maintain this beautiful historic site.

Lovely old homestead beautifully restored, overlooking the picturesque Nut & Stanley township.
Interesting outbuildings with convict history....well worth a visit.

What a wonderful historic experience. Informative, picturesque, great view. Preserved beautifully. We spent about an hour and a half there, taking in every room.
