Fortune Cooky Restaurant-Glen Burnie

Ordered for delivery on a Saturday evening and told that 4 miles was outside of their delivery area (received delivery from them in the past). Decided to pick it up. None of the food was hot. It seemed to have been heated in a microwave. Combination fried rice was definitely day old. Ordered the currried shrimp and the shrimp smelled fishy and was actually “mushy” (overcooked?) definitely moving on from this place.

The best shrimp egg foo young. I have tried 4 other Chinese food restaurants in the last 6 months and none of them have been better then this. The shrimp are a nice size and everything is cooked perfectly and there gravy is my favorite and the portions are perfect..I went to 4 other restaurants 2 in Anne Arundel CountyBurnie and 2 on the eastern shore and none of them were better then fortune cooky!!. They are very friendly I have only gotten there shrimp egg foo young but everything else always looks good too

The customer service is outstanding whether you eat in or take out. Someone greets you as soon as you walk in the door with a smile. You can request your food to be cooked to your liking. You get your money work, plus extra you are given a choice of a free side; I usually get the shrimp fried rice, which is a combination fried. The food I get usually lasts me for 3 days or longer. My order was to go, and a gentleman escorted to the door and opened the door for me. Someone had a conversation with me while I was waiting for my order. Everything is cooked to perfection or your liking. The restaurant is very clean. You have to check it out.

I moved from the area and haven't found a good place that has pepper steak. This one was my favorite in the area when I lived here. One day I was close and decided to get it for lunch seeing that it had been a while and it was not anything like I remembered. I was so disappointed. Yesterday I came by on the way home for the night and tried it again and it was better than the first time I had it !! Never change this recipe , PLEASE !!!

In the past few years, I have found their food quality to have dropped. I have also had multiple take out orders missing items and only go here because my wife likes the Peking duck. For example. I ordered a teriyaki steak dinner and there was no sauce and the vegetables were starting to spoil. I’m done. I’ll find somewhere else to get my wife her duck…

Do NOT ORDER ONLINE!!!!! THEY WILL CHARGE YOUR CARD AND SHOW THAT IT'S BEEN DELIVERED BEFORE YOU'VE RECEIVED IT. THE MANAGER WOULD NOT TAKE OUR CALL AND THE PEOPLE ANSWERING THE PHONE REFUSED TO TELL HER THAT WE HAD A PROBLEM!!!! INSTEAD OF CALLING US BACK AS PROMISED (TWICE) THEY FINALLY SENT THE DRIVER OUT. They're food is good but the people don't care once they have your $$$.. Surprisingly, the food showed up within about 5 minutes of raising hell on the phone!! 20 minutes AFTER OUR ORDER SHOWED DELIVERED!!! By the way, we live within walking distance but we had a very long day at work, it was our anniversary and so we decided to opt for delivery instead of picking it up. NEVER AGAIN!!!
Look at the shrimp and broccoli picture I posted. It's a little disappointing. If you order from here, go pick it up. Like I said before, THE FOOD IS GOOD, but the customer service is non-existent.

Had a visit here with a friend back in April 2020 when things were getting crazy with Covid. It's located on a strip mall/small shopping center area. The food was great then and even better now. Also, they've changed Decor a little; it's so Cute & Cozy inside. Little Bar area in there too. I've had their Carryout many times, which was good, but feel Dining In is the Best Experience with them. They stay busy with carryout orders, and ppl expect their food RIGHT away, but this is a smaller establishment with not a ton of staff, and since Covid + Inflation, honestly, a lot of places don't really have the amount of staff that's needed.

Was just @ Fortune Cooky again helping a Friend celebrate their birthday on a Friday after 6 pm: It was So nice.✌️ Everything's Always Very Clean inside & directly outside the restaurant. We dined in and were quickly seated. Guy waiting tables is On Point without being Obtrusive & Annoying; is AWESOME, Professional, Efficient, Very Polite + Super Friendly & Helpful even as things got busier on a Friday evening. He greets you warmly upon you getting to your table AND again upon leaving. He really takes care of you; I saw him showing this level of Service with everybody. Restaurant was getting busy but not crowded, and not noisy at all. Families & Couples were dining in or picking up carryout/takeout orders.

Food was DELICIOUS! Please try their Lettuce Wraps, Wontons, Eggrolls, Lo Mein, Steak/Beef, and any of their entrees with rice, lunch specials, etc.! Fortune Cooky has some of THE BEST Chinese & Thai around. Prices I feel are very reasonable given the times. Especially when it's Quality.Their food reminds me of the Old Skool Chinese I had growing up.

Everything came to our table Hot, Fresh, and Yummy. Seasoned just right. No long waits for anything. Great Flavor. From our Appetizers to the Entrees NOTHING disappointed. Generous Portions and enough meat, sauce, veg in all our dishes. Highly Recommend and seriously I've had enough Bad Chinese over the years to know GOOD Chinese when I taste it. If you LOVE Authentic, Homestyle Asian Cuisine Treat Yourself to some Here.✌️👍
