I had a great experience in the UNMM at Glen Burnie. From the moment I got there, everything went smoothly from one step to the other. The staff was courteous and compassionate. Right from the beginning, I got the health care that I needed. The facility was clean and well organized. I’m really grateful that I I went to your facility during my medical emergency. Thanks you all!

Every single staff member in the ER have been so friendly. My doctor actually took the time to listen to my concerns and explain every test she was ordering. I've definitely found the ER I'll be using from now on.

My daughter was brought in tonight by ambulance and I did not have transportation to get her home after she was released policy states for University of Maryland that if you come in by ambulance, they can provide transportation home via cab Uber or Lyft and I am a palled of Christina, the charge, nurse, supervisors behavior, and the rest of the staff I have noticed that they like to take their badges off, refuse to give names or cover their badges so that they don’t have to give care if they don’t want to my 18 year old daughter needed a ride home and I could not provide that for her because I did not have the financial means to get her home after an entire half a day in the emergency room. They finally let her come home. She asked Christina the charge nurse for a cab ride home because she did not have transportation, the small Asian woman who is also a nurse in the ER tonight decided to get rude and disrespectful with a 18-year-old girl by telling her no they were not going to provide it. She needs to figure it out when the young lady came in my daughters room to give her discharge papers. My daughter asked for a cab home she refused. I asked the woman her name she refused to give it, she then came back in the room with her name badge off, covered up and still refused to give her name. I explain to the nurse that policy is if you come in by ambulance, they can provide transportation home because unfortunately people cannot always afford to get Transportation home or have the means to get home, they continue to decline and left my 18-year-old daughter after discharging her sitting in the waiting room because we did not have financial means to get her home or to pick her up. I am so beyond disappointed and disrespected by the continuous behavior of the ER staff, they always give you the advocate number when you call the advocate number and you file a complaint they do nothing, now I understand why this hospital has one star they just need to shut this place down. I will not stop until Christine the charge nurse tonight and the rest of the staff that treated my 18-year-old daughter like she was nothing or responsible for the behavior.

The waiting process is long was there from 1 -8. But Dr. Jake and nurse Sharon explained my daughter's medical issue and they were really nice and polite! And the young lady who discharged us was awesome too! Then a staff member saw me assisting my daughter walking and she got her a wheelchair and pushed her to the front door. So for that you get 4 stars.

My dad was instructed by his surgeon to go to the ER because he needed IV antibiotics as his UTI was resistant to oral antibiotics. Also his pain was uncontrolled. He had to wait over 10 hours. It was unacceptable, but we were sadly at the mercy of the hospital. He was urinating every hour in the dirty bathroom. Not once did I see anyone cleaning either the bathroom or the waiting room. He finally started urinating blood because of sitting so long. The hospital really needs to open another area to house ER patients, hire more staff, or develop another plan stat, so that patients can be seen in a timely manner.

Admitted my child last night at 2100 hours on a saturday, its sunday afternoon as i write this review and my child still has not recieved the care that we brought her in for.

Apperantly some doctor showed up that could have seen her, but no communication was made between our charge nurses until 4pm, at which point said doctor had came and went.
Was there any comms beforehand? How do you guys run your shop? I dont believe said doctor knew we even here and the nurses werent even aware that said doctor had left until they called.
It kills me as a parent to know that my child has been here going on 19 hours without being seen. Do better as a hospital.
By the time my kid will supposedly see a doctor, it will have been 36 whole hours.
Read the reviews, use another hospital. Dont come here

My elderly mother was sent to this ER via ambulance from her PCP for stomach pains, nausea, vomiting and dehydration. They checked her in, started an IV line (but no fluids), did a blood draw, X-ray and then left her in the waiting room in a wheel chair for 8 hours. At the 6 hour mark we were told there was 1 person in front of her. At the 7 hour mark we were told there were two people in front of her. By the 8 hour mark my mother was begging and crying to leave even though she was in pain. I took her up to the front desk to get the IV line removed, figuring we’d go to a better hospital. But once we said we were leaving the nurse magically said she’s get a doctor to talk to us. Within 20 minutes she had a room in the ER and about two hours after that they admitted her for three days. She was so sick they had to admit her for three days but they just left her out in the waiting room until we tried to leave? Something is wrong with this hospital. The doctors and nurses once you get back into the ER area are so great, but they need to address their waiting and triage area, it’s inhumane.

I even checked the CHATS system after 4 hours and they weren’t on an alert then. At the 6 hour mark they went yellow.

From all the other reviews here basically saying the same thing I don’t think the hospital can honestly say they aren’t aware of the problem. And from their canned responses to the reviews I’d say they clearly don’t care. You are a hospital, do better.
