A terrific space for any event and in an amazing location. We used the studio space for a very important project - Jennifer and team could not have been more accommodating and helpful. The studio offers a warm and inviting environment for any event need - the flexibility of the space and the outdoor area really set it apart from other venues. Can't recommend highly enough.
Jennifer is a brilliant stylist - equally talented at cuts and color/balayage. I’ve been seeing her for 2+ years and my hair has never looked better. And the experience at her studio is THE BEST. None of the attitude or assembly line mentality of the other major salons in the city. Jennifer washes my hair and styles it herself. She takes my coat and pours me a glass of wine herself. She teaches me how to style it myself. And while my hair process, I can sit on the patio and enjoy the fresh air (well, New York fresh). I actually look forward to coming. Seriously the best.
I’ve been doing balayage with Jennifer for 5 years now. I’ve followed her from Fekkai, her own little pop up and now JA Studios. She’s created a warm and inviting space, not stuffy and pretentious, where I can come and just relax while getting pampered. Jennifer is an artist, not just a person who does hair. Balayage takes skill and an eye for color, and Jennifer treats hair like her canvas. Thank you Jen for keeping my hair looking gorgeous. See you in a couple of months!
I met jennifer 4 yrs ago when I decided to go from being a Brunette to Bleach Blonde. It was a huge change and I was a bit nervous and needed someone I could trust. I did some research and ended up finding the wonderful & talented Jennifer Albert. She not only made me feel at ease INSTANTLY but she walked me through the entire process and I felt reassured everything would be fine. Sure enough, when my cut & color were complete, I fell in love with my look as well as Jennifer.
Since then we have done many fun looks together (short hair, Long hair, blonde, caramel, auburn, etc..) and I can truly trust her with anything! I basically just show up, she gets to work and I get to leave looking fabulous! I always receive millions of compliments from strangers and have been stopped on the street many times because of her work. Every look she has ever created for me is not just flawless but also natural looking.
She is incredibly professional, and the best colorist I have ever gone to. But it goes beyond that, she is caring and kind and you know when you are with her you are in good hands.
Her studio is gorgeous and when you go you want to stay there ALL day! Her products are the best on the market in my opinion and I swear they have cured my psoriasis. : )
My recommendation - If you haven't made an appt yet, you are missing out so book today!!!

Jen at JA Studio is an amazing and talented hair stylist. I've been going to her for 5+ years for extensions, color, cuts, straightening treatments etc. If you are looking for hair extensions, look no further, she is one of the best New York City has to offer. She makes you feel welcome and comfortable and consults with you about what you want before doing anything.
My hair has not been this healthy in years!! Jennifer Albert does great color and highlights that does not destroy my hair, it actually made it super healthy!
I started using Jennifer for keratin extensions a few years ago and my hair actually got much stronger and fuller since I switched to this type of extensions! As a professional bellydancer, being able to move my hair and spin it around freely with out worrying that you can see the tracks of regular extensions is a big deal, these look so natural you cannot tell just by looking at them! These are much more comfortable and natural, and the fact that my natural hair is getting stronger and longer since I started using keratin extensions with Jennifer is a big deal!

Jennifer Albert is a true artist. She introduced me to balayage 8 years ago, no more foiled highlights since. My hair always looks so natural!
