Highly recommend! Pauline and the whole Merion team were absolutely amazing to work with. They made the whole process of new construction/semi-custom home such a breeze and pleasant. We feel so fortunate for our beautiful, well constructed house and our whole experience in general; especially after meeting some people in the neighborhood who didn't use Merion to build a home and hearing their horror stories.

We built a home with Merion in 2021-2022, building a house is never easy and not to say everything went 100% smooth but Pauline was there 100% on our side and worked really hard to make sure we got what we needed. I think my husband made her job a little bit more difficult as he wanted more customized than what Merion has done before but they came through! We were also at the tail ish end of COVID so everything was still little bit slower than what we're seeing now when Merion builds houses. We were also in California during the build (Which i don't recommend being out of state for the build) but Chris (from SNEAD) was really accommodating by having Face time with us with the build. We also came back to VA a couple times and they were able to schedule appointments and walk throughs around our travel schedule. Merion encouraged us to get our own inspections which was kind of nice because they really do stand behind their work. The issues we had were with the plumber and electrician which i think made a lot of things stressful for us and for Merion. Pauline took our feedback on the electrical and plumbing work and last I heard they weren't using them anymore. they also stood by their 1 year warranty where if we had issues they would have their contactors come out and fix it

If you want to upgrade or change something, ask earlier than later (for example, we could have made our mech room a little smaller but it was too late when we asked because they already built the foundation), always upgrade anything structural (insulation, solar electrical, garage/kitchen bump out, etc). We did upgrading our kitchen appliances and it took about 9 months for the vendor to get us the appliances due to covid but merion provided us with loaners.

So far we haven't had any major issues crop up now that we've been here for 1.5 years. The only major issue we had so far was the rain pooling in the back where they did come and fix it by adding french drains. I was also expecting a lot more nail pops and things like that but so far we've only found a few, which was pretty surprising and cool because you hear all these horrible stories from other builders.

I do recommend as a buyer that you keep them on track and double check everything, we had to because merion was building so many houses at once that sometimes things can fall through the cracks but they did address it once we pointed it out.

We really believed Pauline wanted what was best for us and took pride in the houses Merion was building, so they really made sure the quality was there. Highly recommend Merion homes!!

We bought our forever home from Merion. Pauline was great to work with throughout the whole process. Committing to a new build is typically a stressful process, but she made it easy for us. She advocated for us as buyers and even went out of her way after we closed to resolve some outstanding issues.

The build quality was so good that the home inspector was impressed and didn't find anything major that he typically sees in lower-quality builds.

When people ask me about new builds I always say that they should work with Merion if they can. We truly appreciated the 1 year warranty and working with Chris and Ethan (of Snead homes) over our first year. As new home owners we had a lot of questions, and they were so kind and responsive. I have other friends who have had leaks or cracks in their brand new homes and after 2 years we have had no such issues.

I strongly recommend Merion for quality and customer service - especially Pauline Gunther. Pauline is an absolute gem of a person. She is so helpful, kind, and knowledgeable and worked with our messy schedules over the year of meetings and building. She is also extremely responsive.

Not sure this is a legit builder. They put up “hypothetical” plots and floor plans on MLS - and need to be chased for response. First call took 3+ weeks to return after I left multiple follow ups. Then had a “design” mtg but they never got back to me on pricing - has been nearly two weeks though I was told I’d have it within a week. Don’t waste your time with this builder

We built a home with Merion in Pimmit Hills which we moved into in May 2019. I was waiting to post a review but now that it’s been three years, the quality of the home they built is impressive. Pauline and Conor were an amazing team to work with. While I probably wasn’t the easiest buyer who changed their mind a few times on options, they were patient and always met me in the middle on my asks. They were always very accommodating and extremely responsive on any repairs. Our only feedback for Merion is to have an options menu, we didn’t realize a lot of what we could do until it was too late. We highly recommend Merion if you’re looking for a quality home.

We had moved back to the area 2 years ago and really wanted a new home. Pauline and the team at Merion really helped us build the home of our dreams. Pauline helped us every step of the way and made sure all their vendors were committed and Conor lead the team so well. We were so impressed with the quality of the home built and the finishing touches Merion puts in its homes at no additional cost. We have had new homes built for us before and none can come close to the service and quality Merion brought. We have now been in our home for a year and we have had almost no issues with our home! I highly recommend Merion to all my friends and families:)
