Highly recommend! Pauline and the whole Merion team were absolutely amazing to work with. They made the whole process of new construction/semi-custom home such a breeze and pleasant. We feel so fortunate for our beautiful, well constructed house and our whole experience in general; especially after meeting some people in the neighborhood who didn't use Merion to build a home and hearing their horror stories.

We built a home with Merion in 2021-2022, building a house is never easy and not to say everything went 100% smooth but Pauline was there 100% on our side and worked really hard to make sure we got what we needed. I think my husband made her job a little bit more difficult as he wanted more customized than what Merion has done before but they came through! We were also at the tail ish end of COVID so everything was still little bit slower than what we're seeing now when Merion builds houses. We were also in California during the build (Which i don't recommend being out of state for the build) but Chris (from SNEAD) was really accommodating by having Face time with us with the build. We also came back to VA a couple times and they were able to schedule appointments and walk throughs around our travel schedule. Merion encouraged us to get our own inspections which was kind of nice because they really do stand behind their work. The issues we had were with the plumber and electrician which i think made a lot of things stressful for us and for Merion. Pauline took our feedback on the electrical and plumbing work and last I heard they weren't using them anymore. they also stood by their 1 year warranty where if we had issues they would have their contactors come out and fix it

If you want to upgrade or change something, ask earlier than later (for example, we could have made our mech room a little smaller but it was too late when we asked because they already built the foundation), always upgrade anything structural (insulation, solar electrical, garage/kitchen bump out, etc). We did upgrading our kitchen appliances and it took about 9 months for the vendor to get us the appliances due to covid but merion provided us with loaners.

So far we haven't had any major issues crop up now that we've been here for 1.5 years. The only major issue we had so far was the rain pooling in the back where they did come and fix it by adding french drains. I was also expecting a lot more nail pops and things like that but so far we've only found a few, which was pretty surprising and cool because you hear all these horrible stories from other builders.

I do recommend as a buyer that you keep them on track and double check everything, we had to because merion was building so many houses at once that sometimes things can fall through the cracks but they did address it once we pointed it out.

We really believed Pauline wanted what was best for us and took pride in the houses Merion was building, so they really made sure the quality was there. Highly recommend Merion homes!!

We bought our forever home from Merion. Pauline was great to work with throughout the whole process. Committing to a new build is typically a stressful process, but she made it easy for us. She advocated for us as buyers and even went out of her way after we closed to resolve some outstanding issues.

The build quality was so good that the home inspector was impressed and didn't find anything major that he typically sees in lower-quality builds.

We built our home with Merion in 2021-2022, and after living in it for 2 years I can attest to the quality of the build.

When people ask me about new builds I always say that they should work with Merion if they can. We truly appreciated the 1 year warranty and working with Chris and Ethan (of Snead homes) over our first year. As new home owners we had a lot of questions, and they were so kind and responsive. I have other friends who have had leaks or cracks in their brand new homes and after 2 years we have had no such issues.

I strongly recommend Merion for quality and customer service - especially Pauline Gunther. Pauline is an absolute gem of a person. She is so helpful, kind, and knowledgeable and worked with our messy schedules over the year of meetings and building. She is also extremely responsive.

Not sure this is a legit builder. They put up “hypothetical” plots and floor plans on MLS - and need to be chased for response. First call took 3+ weeks to return after I left multiple follow ups. Then had a “design” mtg but they never got back to me on pricing - has been nearly two weeks though I was told I’d have it within a week. Don’t waste your time with this builder

We have a leak at the seam of our new addition. The contractor attempted to fix it once and now will not answer our requests to come look at it again. We had multiple issues during the build involving poor communication with the builder. The crews were a mix of highly skilled and unskilled. The finish work was sub par. We would not recommend using them for a remodel.

We first met the Morbill team at an open house and immediately knew these were going to be our builder. After shopping around and bidding out a custom house… We choose the people at Morbill. We worked with them over the entire process with an external architect. They did a great job and were easy to work with and check with us frequently about everything from change orders to additional options that their contractors could do (built in closets for example). Sometimes people knock on our door and ask who the builder was! We went very modern and I added a couple of pictures. This build was done during the shortages that existed at the height of Covid. We are very happy with the end product and the staff they had on hand as we juggled delays and shipping issues with the pandemic. I would use them again and recommend them.

I chose Morbill as they are a family run local business and was so pleased with the results!! The level of professionalism and commitment to excellence in craftsmanship was so refreshing and definitely shows. They were more than ready to answer questions, highly responsive and provided a unique personal perspective having been building in the area for 3 generations. I would highly recommend Morbill if you’re looking for a builder in the dmv area! There houses are a cut above the rest.

Morbill Custom Homes is currently building a new home on the lot next to ours. Unlike Focal Point Homes, which built the new home a few months earlier on an adjacent lot, Morbill has not engaged with the community and its workers and sub-contractors have proven to be rude, discourteous, and disrespectful of the residential neighborhood. Morbill workers have repeatedly left their trash in our yard; begun extremely loud work early in the morning in violation of the Fairfax County noise ordinance; play loud music throughout the day; failed to keep the jobsite clean; left vehicles and equipment blocking a narrow cul-de-sac which has prevented trash collection, mail delivery, and general access; engaged in rude and unprofessional behavior with neighbors; operated machinery in a careless and negligent manner; and allowed workplace debris to spread all over our property. Morbill has not been responsive to repeated attempts to contact them directly. I would stay far, far away from this business.

We built a home with Merion in Pimmit Hills which we moved into in May 2019. I was waiting to post a review but now that it’s been three years, the quality of the home they built is impressive. Pauline and Conor were an amazing team to work with. While I probably wasn’t the easiest buyer who changed their mind a few times on options, they were patient and always met me in the middle on my asks. They were always very accommodating and extremely responsive on any repairs. Our only feedback for Merion is to have an options menu, we didn’t realize a lot of what we could do until it was too late. We highly recommend Merion if you’re looking for a quality home.

Min and his team did a great job with building our home. Everything from the initial consultation phase, to the design phase, to the demolition of the old house, to the entire construction phase were performed with professionalism. We're satisfied with both the value and the final product.

Min and his teams did a great job, they worked with us every step of the way, and made every effort to make our addition as smooth as possible. They even came for a follow up a year later to make any little fixes after the building settled. Great work!

Reached out to US Home because they were completing a similar project in our neighborhood. Sean promised to transform our outdated first floor in a total of 3 months, and the team delivered. Scope of work included a bathroom and kitchen remodel, deck with screened in porch, and roof/siding replacement. Min made sure the project stayed on schedule and overages were limited to items we didn't include in the contract. The crew (Dave and Justin) were very accommodating and had a great eye for detail. Bottom line is that they do great work and we'd hire them again!

Min and his team completed my room addition in 2018. They ran into challenges from the rainy weather, but overcame all obstacles to get things done. I love my new room!

Extremely pleased with my beautiful bathroom renovation. Min gut renovated a very old upstairs bathroom, shared by our family of 4, so while may have been a small job for him, it was of major importance to us. He accommodated our extremely tight time frame that no other contractors would dare commit to. He accommodated my design ideas and subsequent changes to our design beautifully and offered good design advice when needed. A few things needed to be addressed in the year or two afterwards -- not from fault of Min, resulting from our not following his design/advice about installing a glass wall/door for our bathtub-shower. Min came immediately to address issues and never pointed fingers or asked questions. Min came highly recommended by very discerning friends with high end tastes and homes, who continue to hire Min for more work. I trust Min and would likely hire him again if we decide to do more work.

US Home Design Build proved to be an outstanding choice for my wife and I to custom build a high quality, two story addition (four season sunroom and covered patio) onto our 1968 colonial style home in Fairfax County, Virginia. Our vision for such an addition was to involve the meticulous planning, design and construction of a highly custom, expanded living space, utilizing the finest materials, fixtures and hardware. The design was conceived to appear wholly integrated into the existing architecture of the residence; as if built at the time of the home’s construction. After interviewing a variety of custom builders, we chose US Home Design Build. Simply stated, we were thoroughly impressed with the professionalism and reputation of US Home Design Build, along with their representatives Mr. Sean Brennan and Mr. Min Yi. From the outset, the project proved challenging, yet Min Yi and his crew never failed to provide us with impeccable quality of craftsmanship and a conscientious work ethic. Min would frequently suggest practical improvements to the design, construction and associated hardware of the ongoing project; all at no increase in cost. Min always listened carefully and never failed to satisfy my every concern and stated objective. Even unavoidable delays (associated with third party design and construction of elaborate custom windows and doors) never disrupted the focus, momentum or morale of US Home Design Build. The project was completed flawlessly; on schedule and on budget. My wife and I could not be happier. We now have the four season sunroom and patio of our dreams, thanks to Min and his crew.

We had moved back to the area 2 years ago and really wanted a new home. Pauline and the team at Merion really helped us build the home of our dreams. Pauline helped us every step of the way and made sure all their vendors were committed and Conor lead the team so well. We were so impressed with the quality of the home built and the finishing touches Merion puts in its homes at no additional cost. We have had new homes built for us before and none can come close to the service and quality Merion brought. We have now been in our home for a year and we have had almost no issues with our home! I highly recommend Merion to all my friends and families:)

We built our home with Merion over the course of 2016 and 2017. At every step they were responsive, professional, patient, knowledgeable and just generally a pleasure to deal with. The sales rep and PM were absolutely outstanding, even going as far as arranging a special "ceremony" after the concrete was poured for our five year old to sprinkle fairy dust and hearts (glitter and sequins!) so that the house was "built on love and magic"!
Building a house is a stressful business but doing it with Merion really meant there were very little stresses from the actual build process. They kept us informed and involved throughout, resolved any issues quickly and satisfactorily and went above and beyond to ensure we were happy with our new home. My husband travels abroad frequently with his work and very early on the PM took down my husbands travel schedule and arranged the build schedule so that he could be sure we would both be in the country for all key points and inspection dates which we really appreciated.
Overall we can't recommend them highly enough. They are a locally owned business totally focused on delivering quality projects and if we were ever to build again the first thing I would do would be to call them! If you are considering building or buying in Pimmit Hills don't do anything until you speak to Merion.
