Fortunately, we were able to get a table right after we park. Comfort room is not open, although they put some porta-John w/c really needs cleaning.

Had a splendid time. Big open area, plenty of parking, and several grills and picnic tables. Great view of the City and George Washington Bridge.
The bathrooms are the reason for my 4 Star rating. About 6 or 7 Porta potties and all of them were "no bueno".

Beautiful spot for a bbq or even a picnic and has a great view of NYC, Hudson River and the GWB. The best part about the park is my cat approved it..

Great views and ambience. WARNING: do not stay past closing hours. They are super strict. State troopers do patrol after hours and begin ticketing cars. I was there for a little birthday picnic and we decided to stay a little after hoursā€¦ we learned our lesson LOL. Aside from that great experience and will definitely be back another time!

Ross Dock Picnic Area is a large scenic riverfront picnic area just north of the George Washington Bridge in Fort Lee, New Jersey. It is also the site of Carpenterā€™s Grove and the Hazardā€™s Ramp boat-launching ramp.

At the southern end of Henry Hudson Drive, Ross Dock features picnic tables, some grills (visitors may bring their own), restrooms, water, and waste receptacles, as well as access for fishing and crabbing and to our trail system.

Our largest picnic area juts into the river just north of the George Washington Bridge (talk about a million-dollar view!), with a large playground and lots of open space. But itā€™s also our busiest park area ā€” plan to come early in the day if you can!

In the 1930s, Ross Dock was set up as the parkā€™s ā€œCamp Colony,ā€ with big tents families could rent for all or part of the summer. Later, small cabins built by the WPA were even added to the ā€œCampā€!
