A truly iconic mural in Downtown Montreal!

I’m a huge Leonard Cohen fan and did a side-trip to Montreal just to see this Mural, hoping that there was much more to see of his amazing legacy. Unfortunately we did not see anything else, which is a shame. I would have hoped that there would have been more. Maybe that will be something going forward. More Mural’s, even tours perhaps.

just casually walking around in the area and I stumbled across this work of art couldn't tell who he was and why he was painted on a building until I did some research and found out he was Leonard Cohen who sang Hallelujah which i never knew he was from Canada 🇨🇦

Novelist, singer, songwriter, musician, great performer, mysterious personality - this is all about the famous - Leonardo Cohen
Calm , pensive, strikes a refined pose in a jacket with sharp lapels and fedora, palm pressed to chest, watches from the wall at the life of the city with his wise eyes…
But whatever goes up on a wall, Cohen's best memorials are still his own songs.
The Man , the Myth, the Legend !

You can view locally at street level or go up to Mont Royal ( car with paid parking available ) or bus ,

It’s distinct, unique and really stands out. Looks great from afar while it’s snowing and we noticed it from the fine arts museum. Definitely look out for it when you are in Montreal. Keep an eye out since it can be seen from a lot of different spots.

You should see it during the nights, absolutely stunning!
The Crescent street is a must go place in Montreal. So lively and beautiful.
