Clean & bright. Staff very friendly and helpful.
BUT..
"need to teach ALL yes ALL of the STAFF more" about how to use the computer to print.
Print from different venues like print from someone's "Email" or print from their "cellphone" any documents or from cellphone print like a Court document or a medical report from a seperate link a Medical Portal for reports. Or print a "SCREEN SHOT " from a "cellphone" . Also open up on weekends have longer hours because people have to work on weekends and can't be there during the early day hours. PLEASE.

This library is a really nice place to focus on your stuff, bun only until 2-3pm because once the kids from school come, there’s no control of noise, and gets very difficult to keep studying

The library is clean, organized and there's good light to work, but there's absolutely no control of silence. Libraries are supposed to be quiet, so people can read, study or work there.
There're almost always very noisy students (some of them even disrespectful), sometimes kids running all around, and there's absolutely no control of that... Sadly, if you're looking of a quiet place to work, I do not recommend this place... but otherwise the library is so nice and clean, and the staff is very polite and kind

Very good location. Good staff. We can get prints from computers on free(limited pages) outside open space to seat. Good privacy.

When I was in the Union City Public Library I wasn’t very jubilant in the community I entered in. There was this lady that was very disrespectful and unkind. When a group of kids came that sat themselves down and they were eating and the lady came up to them and said “ hey sorry you can’t eat here, the sign says it, you can leave, bye Felicia “ The expression “ bye Felicia “ was very hurtful going to me even though I wasn’t the one in that group when she told that to poor little kids, I was very hurt from this, in the disrespect she was towards these kids. I came to the library to do a project and I was simply just taking a video and this lady comes up to and says “ Sorry, you need permission to take a video to the director and I say no “ This lady was nonstop disrespectful I do not now her name but I have never seen so much disrespect in my life. My visit wasn’t the greatest.

Went a couple of times to use their computers for a job's test (mine got messed up). Very clean, quiet, nice staff, and well illuminated. Should open earlier than 12:30 though...

Well first of all I would like to say I'm a residence of Union City, NJ. I like this particular library because it's in the neighbor, clean and convenient. I've been going here off and on since I knew it opened. I always go there to print and that's it. I never was told I had to pay for printing. The other day this week, either a Monday or Tuesday I went in to print again, haven't been there in months. The lady in the front that's there all the time was there, not the older one but the younger one. For some reason after I printed I asked do I have to pay for printing, not even noticing the big sign on the counter staying the first two are free and after the first two .05 cents. She said, " Yes, it's .05 cents each. I had printed out 5 copies so she charged me .25 cents. Today I go in there and something told me to ask her is the printing free for UC residents. Today both the older lady and younger lady was there. Again I was told its .05 cents for printing and .15 cents for using the copy machine. As I was going to the computer to print out I saw people just picking up their paper from the printer and not paying. I didn't say anything until it was time for me to pay. So I said to the younger one I came here many times and never had to pay and I see people just taking their paper and not paying. She looked at me with a blank stare as I was counting my 3 copies. I then noticed that sign I mentioned earlier stating the first 2 are free. So I pointed to that sign and asked what about that sign? She then loudly stated, " Yes the first two are free!" I responded and said well you didn't tell me that when I just asked and earlier this week I printed out 5 copies and you charged me .25 cents so I will only give you .05 cents today for my 3 copies. She didn't say a word. I just walked out livid. The security guard saw I was angry and I explained to him what she did. He just shook his head and looked at her. I later called to speak to the supervisor which the younger lady picked up. I know her voice from anywhere. She claimed the supervisor left. I had to pull teeth to get her to tell me when she will be in and what time. I know it's only 10 cents. The money is not the issue. It's the principle of the whole situation. If you can't explain correctly and over charge people while you are working with the public then don't work with the public. I feel like she was racist and probably pockets money like that all the time. If you need it that badly then just ask me, I would have given it to you, but don't insult my intelligence. I think she's possibly alittle slow. People in UC are always trying to get over especially when you have darker skin. Not me sweetheart. What's right is right! SMH
