Auburn Fish Market

Located opposite Auburn station. Reasonable collection of fishes, prawns, crab and oysters. There were some frozen fish as well. We bought crabs and snapper. These were fresh. Reasonable prices. The fish and crabs were cut and clean. Clean could have been a bit better.

Don’t buy from this shop, we went for the first time and bought two bonito fish last week. They refused to clean one of them because they were going to close.
I got home and started cleaning the fish. It was so rotten from inside and the fish let out the most putrid smell ever. I guess that’s why they refused to clean it.
All the money I spent went to the rubbish!
Never going there again😡:(

Worst fish shop. Very rude and cunning. They will not let you to pick. What kind of shop is this?. Is there any way we can report this shop to goverment. They also only accept cash unless it is above $20. ATO supposed to check this place also

I bought a big barramundi today and it was not well cleaned. They left a lot of fish fins and scales on it. Customer service was very poor too. I asked to put this fish in two separate bags, the young lady at the register gave a bad look. I said thanks and she didn’t even respond to it. I also noted they don’t sell fresh fishes and I think I was over charged too. It was my first time there, and this is my last too. I thought my feedback would help others that’s why I’m sharing my experience about this place.

Had to throw the fish that I bought here for 30$ in the bin. I'm sure they switch the fish when they take it inside to cut. They cover the bag with newspaper so it's not seen immediately. When I opened the bag "yuck, it's old bad fish." I don't know how they continue to stay in business.

Absolutely horrible fish is sold here, i had a dinner party, bought 5 kg of fish.
I cooked it the same day, when we started to eat all my guests looked at each other with a discussed look on there face, i then realized that the fish was rotten and out of date.
We then all had tummy problems after.
Terrible night we had.
Ill never go there again.

Been buying fish from there many times till today. Found some things in the fish we got. Try to return it for credit and add more to pay for other type of fish it was impossible. They were forcing me to keep the fish and eat the fish that had worms or some type of parasite. Never again will i go there or any of my friends or family. Due to the poor customer service and bad fish.. i ended up walking out with no fish and lost $22 dollars for the fishes..
